An ebonised and alabaster inset circular table, in Art Deco style, on four scrolling gadrooned supports united by a sphere on a domed circular spreading foot, 72cm high, 108.5cm diameter. The alabaster used for this table top is believed to be Alabastro Egyptiano. This type of alabaster was incorporated in The Alexander Mosaic, dating circa 100BC, a famous floor mosaic originally from the House of the Faun in Pompeii.
