Large official menu, with original decorative covers and cord tie, with tribute by Neville Cardus, Toasts, table plan, after Dinner entertainment, guest list and two photographs, one of the ‘Hobbs Gates’ at The Oval, the other one of Hobbs, head and shoulders. The menu measures 8.5”x11.5”. Signed to back cover in pencil by twenty one guests including G. Allen, Garland Wells, Duckworth, J.R. Mason, F. Brown, Brooks, Clay, Langridge, Strudwick, Squires, Gregory, Sandham, Hearne, Fishlock, Mobey, Whitfield etc. In original titled folder. M.C.C. tour of Australia 1924/25. Official players itinerary for the tour with front cover with title and M.C.C. colours to top left hand corner. The itinerary lists the members of the touring party, tour programme including matches, time table etc. Fully signed to inside front cover by eighteen members of the touring party including the Manager Toone. Signatures include Gilligan (Captain), Douglas, Chapman, Hearne, Woolley, Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Sandham, Tate, Freeman, Whysall, Kilner, Tyldesley etc. A few marks and minor foxing otherwise in good condition. ‘Toone’ handwritten in pencil to opening inside page.
