The same stress fracture runs from the edge of the table right across the table through one of the lightning strikes almost to the other side. There is however no movement. To stop the crack moving there are two butterfly wing let in repairs to the underside of the top. The snap top action operates as its should. The turned column is in good condition as are all legs which have no repairs and no restoration.

It has a French polish which in our opinion would be better removed. The remainder of the table does not appear to have been repolished. The colour is generally good. We can see no evidence of any repairs, damage or restoration. Please note there is a small area on the top front right-hand corner where a label has removed a small amount of the French polish finish.
