A 19th Century Mahogany and brass ormolu French Empire side lamp table / plant or bust stand . Square top with applied ormolu mounts raised on sabre legs united by a lower tier stretcher. Stamped F Durrand Fils to underside. approx; 73cm x 32cm x 23cm.
An early 20th Century Chinese red lacquered side / lamp table / occasional table having gilt burst motifs throughout with a dragon amongst the clouds to the top. Second tier below with all raised on sweeping supports. Measures approx; 61cm x 49cm x 33cm.

Arnoux the Iesuite, initial f. blank, woodcut head-pieces and decorative initials, contemporary ink notes in Welsh and Latin to verso of front free endpaper, occasional contemporary ink marginalia in English, lacking advertisement to reader f. after A8, 2O1 (first f. of Table), and final blank, trimmed at head, affecting the occasional headline, 2B6v and 2B7r heavily ink stained, but text legible, some water-staining, occasional spotting or staining, lightly browned, contemporary blind-stamped calf, spine in compartments, head of spine and corners worn, joints splitting, but holding firm, rubbed and scuffed, spine especially so, [STC 7313], small 4to, Printed by R[ichard] F[ield] for Nathanael Newbery, 1620.⁂ Rare at auction. Pollard, one of 250 large paper copies, half-title, 16 mounted colour plates (with captioned tissue-guards), 7 uncoloured plates and illustrations by Arthur Rackham, frontispiece with very short tear to fore-edge, not affecting image, a couple of tissue guards with short tear or internal chip, some scattered foxing and staining, upper hinge tender but holding, original pictorial white morocco, gilt, loss to spine head, rubbed and stained, t.e.g., 4to, New York, 1917.

Record of the Expedition to Abyssinia compiled by order of the Secretary of State for War, 3 vol., including portfolio, first edition, 2 additional lithographed titles, 32 lithographs, maps and plans, some hand-coloured, 1 folding table, 5 large linen-backed folding maps and loose Index sheet in portfolio as issued, scattered spotting, occasional pencil underlining, near contemporary half-morocco, gilt, rubbed and worn, cracked hinges, bumping to corners and extremities, [Shapero, Africana 183], 1870.⁂ The portfolio accompanying this copy contains all 5 maps called for. It is rare to find this with all 5 maps, the copy Shapero reference only contains 3.

A fine Gothic Revival parcel-gilt and engraved bronze table casket, by Giroux & Co. (1810-1886),Paris, circa 1860-70Having a domed cover with applied shield, over a rectangular base, each corner with a tracery niche enclosing an ivory figure of a Monarch, the whole bound with pierced quatrefoil strapwork and engraved with scrolling floral and vine foliage, the lock plate engraved 'Alph Giroux et Cie - a Paris', 23.5cm wide, 20cm high to top of handle, 15.5cm deep. CITES ref. This finely worked jewel casket reflects the ancestral skill of Maison Alphonse Giroux, established in 1799 by François Simon Alphonse Giroux, specialising in the maunfacturer and sale of small furniture items, supplied Louis XVIII and Charles X. In 1838 the company was inherited by Giroux's two sons, Alphonse-Gustave (1775-1848) and André, who under the name of Giroux & Cie expanded the business, showing and frequently winning medals at the 'Exposition des Products de I'industrie Française'
A 17th Century and later basket top table clock, signed for Daniel Le Count, London The hinged handle cast in the form of adorsed grotesques, over the foliate and floral repoussé basket, the ebonised case with applied gilt brass mounts to the front door, raised on a shallow plinth base and turned gilt brass feet, the 7 inch brass Roman and Arabic dial with winged cherub spandrels, strike/not strike lever above XII and date aperture to the matted centre with ring turned winding holes, the twin train fuseé movement with verge escapement, knopped and finned pillars, the backplate engraved with tulips and foliage centred on the signature cartouche. 39cm (15.25in) Provenance: Sold Bonhams, London, December 2013.
