MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL (1975) - Knights Of The Round Table Helmet A helmet used in the cult comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The Knights of the Round Table wore their helmets whilst dancing during a musical segue as Arthur (Graham Chapman) and his knights approached Camelot. The helmet is cast in fibreglass with faux-rivet detailing, a 'T-shaped' opening and numerous drilled ear holes on each side. The inside is lined with foam which has yellowed with age and is labelled "40". A small pointed addition was added to the top of the helmet for a subsequent production and then partially removed. There are scuffs and chips to the paint from use and storage. Dimensions: 28 cm x 24cm x 36 cm (11" x 9 ½" x 14 ¼") VAT Status - DAGGER

Minor scratches to top, one inserted patch - may be original to construction, bracing stretchers at top of trestles may be replaced. Generally a few splits and wear to trestle supports, but construction is sound, table secure, iron work has good colour, some corrosion
Good mid-17th century and later oak refectory table, the plank top on pierced scroll carved frieze and fluted cup and cover supports, united by stretchers, 227cm x 74cm CONDITION REPORT Legs are replacements, the other elements appear to be period. Some bracing within the rails. Pierced frieze has various fractures and splits, top is braced, splits to top, we presume the carving to be period but may be later. Otherwise general wear commensurate with age, basically alterations but presents well, good rich colour

Ruby and diamond three stone ring with an oval mixed cut ruby flanked by an old cut diamond to each side, in claw setting, on gold shank. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.00 carat. Ring size S CONDITION REPORT Ruby measures approximately 6.20mm x 5.60mm x 2.83mm. Surface and facets are very worn, scratched and minor chips. There is a fissure / crack which appears to run diagonally from the girdle to the table, other internal fissures. The ruby is a very bright stone with pink / red tones. The diamonds are old cut stones which are lively and bright, approximately 0.50 carats each, no visible chips or fissures, there are minor inclusions visible with a loupe. One stone has a small inclusion / scratch on the table surface. Estimated colour - I / J. Shank worn. Total gross weight approximately 3.3 grams

Forks tines are straight, spoons/forks have minor surface scratching. One desert spoon missing. Canteen is in reasonable condition, no cracks or splits but top has some water damage
