A Victorian walnut dressing table, with shaped front, fitted with two frieze drawers, raised on twisted supports, stamped C Hindley & Sons 134 Oxford Street London 1045 to one drawer, 57ins x 30ins, height 29.5insIt is believed this lot was acquired from Witley Court sale in 1938 and possibly part of Lot 222. Charles Hindley and Sons were commissioned by William Humble Ward the 1st Earl of Dudley. The Earl was within the circle of friends of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward, who retained what was known as the Kings Suite at the court.
