EARLY 20TH CENTURY JAPANESE/KOREAN ELMWOOD STEPPED CABINET, in two sections, top faux drawer above a cupboard door, leading down to two sliding doors and three small drawers above two larger sliding doors beside a tall drawer and four further drawers at the lowest level, each with hammered iron handles, total size: 188 x 150 cm, bottom section: 81 x 150 cm, top section: 109 x 87 cm No visible signs of restoration. The lowest step has loss to one corner. Overall scratches, surface wear and patina expected for its age.

With a planked top above twin doors with two shelves and two lower drawers inside, each door has two carved gilt windows showing pairs of figures fighting, above six further panels, below are two more doors with two upper drawers and two shelves inside, each door has two carved panels of floral and scholarly motifs above four further painted panels, on raised feet, each door and drawer with metal handles, 175.5cm x 113cm x 53cmGeneral surface wear, indentations, scratches and marks as expected for patina of this age. One long crack running down the edge of the cabinet to the right of the top door.
