A 17th century Flemish ebony and tortoiseshell collectors cabinet with heart shaped decoration to the mitred doors, opening to reveal a fitted interior with eight drawers around a central cupboard enclosing a mirrored niche within, this pulling out to reveal three further secret drawers, all over one long drawer and on a later black painted stand, the cabinet 64.5cm wide x 39cm deep x 51cm high; the cabinet and stand 121.5cm high overallMinor marks, dents and scratches overall due to age and use, the escutcheon to the front doors possibly later, the hinges to the doors replacements, the lock possibly later, the cabinet within shows repair to the pilaster columns of the central cupboard door, the lock probably later, further minor repairs and restorations overall, loss to the ebony veneer to the outer left door at the lower left corner, please see photographs for further information
