A mid-19th century rosewood break-front library bookcase, four large glazed bookcases over one large central frieze drawer flanked by two smaller drawers over four central doors opening to document drawers, two flanking doors opening to shelves, 308 x 274cm. CONDITION REPORT Veneer missing from front edge, general wear conducive with age, scrapes to wood below and above doors. Re-glue of frame to left-hand central glazed door and chip to side of acanthus leaf moulding lower left-hand side central door. Some moulding loose, some bleaching of wood, other wise good quality with rosewood back boards and shelves. Breaks down into eight sections: base section, three lower cupboard sections, upper base section, three glass cupboard sections and top section.
A late 19th century oak library break-front bookcase, large central glazed door flanked by two smaller glazed doors opening to shelves, over four long drawers flanked either side by four smaller drawers, all with brass flush handles, the top of case has original numbered enamel plaques for shelf reference, 229 x 292cm. CONDITION REPORT Wear commensurate with use throughout, bruising to surface, tarnishing to handles, moulding missing on 9 drawers split.
A fine early 19th century mahogany eight-day longcase clock, the arched silvered and brass with moon phase inscribed 'On Time's Uncertain Date Eternal Hours Depend', the dial signed 'Harrison, Liverpool', with glazed door flanked by fluted Corinthian columns above, arched panel door and brickwork lower case on ogee bracket feet, height 250cm.
A Matthew Norman of London brass-cased carriage clock, white circular dial set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial with Arabic numerals, movement signed and numbered 1750, base inscribed 'Swiss Made', height 13.5cm (af). CONDITION REPORT The rear door and glass panel need re-assembling and attaching, lacking key, discolouration to brass throughout, surface dirt to dial.
