A mid-18th century walnut veneered eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch arched brass dial signed 'Jn Glascock, Brentwood', the silvered chapter ring with inner ring of Roman numerals an outer ring of Arabic numerals centred by a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture within pierced scrolling leaf spandrels, the eight day five pillar movement striking on a single bell, the arched hood with reeded front corner hood pilasters over a long trunk door, on a single panel box base, with later skirting plinth, 225.5cm high
