Good overall. Split in top. Two edges with replacement blocks, formerly a press. Some minor losses to edges of drawers. General surface wear.
An 18th century provincial joined oak dresser base, the twin frieze drawers over conforming twin recess panelled lower cupboard doors, width 135cmCondition report: Handles are replacement. Colour is very good. Left hand door is broken on the hinge and is loose when you open the door and will need repairing. Top has two splits running all the way through the top. Back edge of top has two areas of losses. Original back boards.
An early 20th century lacquered brass cased carriage timepiece having an enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed indistinctly, having visible platform lever escapement and barrel going movement, height 11cm (handle down)Condition report: Key is present. Working order, cased requires a good clean. Runs well and keeps time. Rear door is very stiff when opening.
A hand made model of an old style church, complete with figures and accessories, having opening roof and single door to twin bell towerCondition report: Built in the Early English architectural style. The square crenellated tower has one wall that opens to reveal two bells. The west wall opens, as does the roof and wooden porch, to reveal the interior. The eleven figures, which are manufactured by Town Square, show a wedding taking place with an organist playing, choir boy singing and a vicar to bless the couple. The furnishings include pews, altar, lectern, organ, hymn books, candlesticks and more.
A Regency mahogany and line inlaid serpentine fronted sideboard, circa 1815, 92cm high, 189cm wide, 68cm deep Condition Report: Marks, stains, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, one double depth drawer has oak divided interior that is possibly a later addition, the other vacant and this appears to be by design - no evidence of having had an interior removed The handles are not original, One lock missing, no keys Some marks and stains to the top Old splits and cracks One lower door has become detached and has ripped timber away from the side, this appears to have happened before and been restored, it would require more attention prior to use in a domestic setting There are some various detached blocks and elements contained within the drawers Condition Report Disclaimer
Y A French kingwood and rosewood bookcase, 19th century, with arched grille doors, scroll feet and sabots, 97cm x 198cm. Condition Report: Wear from use and handling- internal brass strips for fixing in cloth are present but detached. No key and internal vertical bar bolt to door has been taped off to prevent it locking itself. Later flooring base. Some old repairs, mostly to veneers.
