Wardrobe. Rosewood. Cm 128,00 x 205,00 x 45,00. Rosewood two-door wardrobe with elm burl inlays on cardboard by Giovanni Guerrini (Imola, 29 May 1887 - Rome, 20 March 1972). Very active as well as a painter, even in the field of applied arts and architecture, Giovanni Guerrini was poster designer, illustrator and designer of objects, furniture(his rosewood furnishings proposed at the Monza Biennial in 1925 were of great interest, made by the Casalini Cabinet of Faenza, praised for the happy synthesis between the functional simplicity of the structure and the decoration) and tenacious supporter of the rebirth of artistic craft products Italian.

Complete purple colored handle with abstract designs, 50s.The activity in this particular field of design dates back to 1946, when Paolo De Poli produced handles for the companies V.I.S and Yale & Towne of New York. A particularly large production that in 1958 will result in the exhibition at the Wildestein Gallery in New York for which, in the catalog, De Poli stated "The door must not only be a partition .. but also have its own decorative function"

Sideboard. Rosewood. Cm 130,00 x 77,00 x 45,00. Cabinet in walnut, Brugnoli Mobili, Cantù, 1958. The cabinet is supported by four solid wood legs with octagonal section partially inserted in the corners of the piece of furniture. The uprights end a few millimeters above the edge of the top. A late 18th century English painted pine baby house in the Palladian stylewith later contents and internal decorationsthe double bayed house with drab painted faux dressed ashlar stonework, the arched panelled door set within a triangular pedimented moulded doorcase below a glazed arched window and flanked to either side by two pairs of glazed Venetian windows, the sides with similar trompe l'oeil painted Venetian windows, the flat roof with balustrade gallery and twin rear chimneys, the triple hinged front opening to four rooms, hall with staircase and first floor landing, each room later charmingly furnished and decorated and with working lights, together with a later cream painted pine stand, probably late 19th century, the frieze fitted with a single central drawer above a concave undertier on plain rectangular legs, the house: 93cm high, 106cm wide, 50cm deep, the stand: 108cm wide, 74cm high, 53.5cm deep (2)This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: TP
