An Edwardian inlaid mahogany serpentine fronted corner cupboard, with swans neck pediment above a glazed door enclosing shelves, the base fitted with a pair of panelled cupboard doors, with shelf beneath and all raised on splayed feet. Width 77 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The swans neck pediment is in good condition. The door is not warped, it closes correctly. There are no cracks to the glass. The mahogany to the upper section is in very good condition. The base is in generally good order. There is a dent to the very centre top edge of the base. The doors are not warped and in good condition and close correctly. The shelf is in good condition. The legs are original with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There are minor scuffs and surface blemishes but no significant issues with this lot.
A Victorian mahogany cylindrical bedside cabinet, with white marble top. Height 78.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The marble is dirty and scuffed but not cracked. The surround is also dirty and has several breaks to the moulding. The door is in good condition and not warped. The main body of the cabinet is in good order. The plinth base is scuffed and scratched but has no significant damage. The only real issue is the state of the top moulding with the old repairs, nail holes etc.
A Victorian mahogany bedside cabinet, with three quarter gallery above a cupboard door with wooden knob handles and raised on ring turned legs. Width 36.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good condition. The gallery and top are in good order. The door is not warped and has no condition issues. The sides and back are in good condition with no cracks. The legs are original and structurally sound and there is no evidence of any woodworm. There are one or two minor marks to the top surface as one would expect but no real condition issues.
A walnut veneered crossbanded side cabinet, with drawer and cupboard, with concave front and raised on turned legs. Width 51 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top is a little scratched at the corners but other than this the piece is in generally good condition. The drawer door and sides are in good order. The feet are sound.
A walnut side cabinet, well figured, with crossbanded edge, serpentine fronted panelled door flanked by canted angles and raised on shell carved cabriole legs terminating in carved feet. Width 75 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Generally good order. There are no problems with the top or moulded edge. The door has a small veneer repair to the top right hand corner approximately 3 inches in from the right hand side. There are old very minor stress fractures to the veneers on the door front. The sides of the piece are in good condition as is the back. All legs are in good order with no losses or damage. The interior of the cabinet has been painted and is showing paint losses and is a little dirty.
