Croft-Murray does not appear to record a house with these subjects, so presumably for an unrealised project. Another pair of drawings by Thornhill for the same project are held in the Victoria & Albert Museum [see acc. D.3-1891]

The leather tab near the lock is to lift the central glazed door to access the cylinder.
