Lot 869
A 19th century oak cased bracket clock, by Payne & Co., New Bond Street, London, with fusee movement and silvered dial. Height 13 ins, width 9 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This lot is really in extremely good condition. It is currently ticking away. There are no losses to the foliate moulding to the front door. The silvering to the dial is a little discoloured but probably original. The left and right sides of the case are in good order. There is a crack running through the veneer on the deep reveal from front to back on the top of the clock and there is a small section of veneer missing at the back of the clock beneath the door. We do not have any keys with the clock and whilst the rear door is open the front door is currently locked.
Lot 928
A George III oak longcase by Harris of Wellington, with swans neck pediment above the arched glazed door enclosing the 13 inch arched silvered brass dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials and with moon phase to the arch, with long trunk door, quarter column corners and conforming base raised on bracket feet. Height 90 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: In our opinion the dial the movement, pendulum and weights are original to the case. The seatboard is original and does not appear to have been altered. The cheeks have not been altered either. The case does not appear to have any woodworm and is in generally good condition. The clock has come to us from a local property and is currently ticking away. The movement is missing its bell.

An Edwardian inlaid mahogany wardrobe, with detachable moulded cornice above a centre section with pair of panelled doors above an open aperture and four further graduated drawers with brass drop handles, flanked on either side by a full length mirror door enclosing hanging space and with plinth base beneath, width 74 ins, together with a dressing table and pair of double bed ends to match (see illustration).

An Edwardian inlaid mahogany bedroom suite, comprising wardrobe, dressing chest and washstand, the wardrobe with detachable shell and scroll carved cornice above a central carved and inlaid door enclosing shelves and with three drawers beneath, flanked on either side by a full length mirrored door enclosing hanging space. Width 66 ins, dressing table width 51 ins, washstand 49 ins (see illustration).

An Arts & Crafts oak dresser, with moulded cornice above a central lead glazed cupboard door with shelves surrounding, the base fitted with a series of drawers and cupboard with brass drop handles with shaped backplates and raised on cabriole legs. Width 54 ins. CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good condition with no significant problems. There are minor scuffs around the feet and the cornice and on the drawer fronts but really nothing to be too concerned about. There is no evidence of any woodworm, repair or restoration.

An Edwardian mahogany sideboard, with drop centre, fitted with a series of drawers, cupboards and with tambour front, the right hand door enclosing a cellarette, the whole raised on a series of turned lobed legs, bearing plaque for "James Simpson & Sons, Complete House Furnishers, Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow". Width 78 ins (see illustration).
Lot 1083
An Edwardian satinwood wardrobe, with detachable moulded Greek key cornice above a central section with bowed doors enclosing three trays and with four drawers beneath, flanked on either side by a full length mirror door with hanging space and drawer and with plinth beneath. Width 79 ins, depth 27 ins, height 85 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The wardrobe is in generally good order. The cornice is intact and undamaged. The centre doors are both in good order without warping and the three interior trays are present. The four drawer fronts are also in decent order and operate as they should. Both mirrored doors are in generally good order and not warped. There are small veneer losses to the top right hand side of the left hand door jam and at the bottom right hand corner of the same door. There are small losses at the same place on the right hand door. The right hand panel of the wardrobe as a stress fracture which should be evident from our images and the odd surface scratch and old paint marks. The left hand side is in very good order.

A George III oak longcase clock, with swans neck pediment above the arched glazed door enclosing the brass dial with Roman numerals, strike and silent to arch, subsidiary date and seconds dials and inscribed "Francis Mee Higham Ferrers", flanked by fluted columns, with shaped trunk door and conforming base. Height excluding brass finial 88 ins.
Lot 1129
A Victorian mahogany bookcase, with moulded cornice above four arched glazed doors with wooden astragals enclosing adjustable shelves, the base fitted with four cupboards and raised on a plinth. Width 106 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The height is 91.5 inches, depth at deepest point 21.75 inches, depth of upper section 15 inches, interior depth of upper shelves 13 inches. The bookcase is in generally extremely good original condition with very few problems of any significance. The cornice is a little scuffed in places and there are very small veneer losses and veneer cracks on the right and left hand returns. These are very minor indeed. Both sides of the upper section are in good order. The glass to each door is original and the doors are not warped. We have the keys. All shelves are present. The base is in good order also with no cracks to the sides. All four doors are unwarped and of good colour. The base has a few minor scuffs as one would expect. There is really very little of any note wrong with this piece.
Lot 1160
A George III longcase clock, mahogany, with eight day striking movement by Lott Barwise, Cockermouth, with swans neck pediment, arched glazed door, 13 inch dial, long trunk door, quarter column corners and raised on bracket feet. Height 90 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The case is in generally very good condition with no significant problems. The hood has only very minor old veneer cracks as one would expect. The trunk door is not warped and again there is a veneer crack at the bottom centre of this which is insignificant. The feet are original and in good order. The dial is in generally good untouched original unrestored condition although it looks as if the name and town have been over written at some point. We have the pendulum and weights but have not had the clock operating as there is no catgut on the drive train. The seatboard is clearly original however the cheeks of the clock have old inner supports. We do not think that these have been added but it is possible. The mask around the dial does fit very well.
Lot 1230
An Edwardian satinwood bedside cabinet, with label "Goodalls, Manchester", with painted door and raised on ring turned legs. Width 17.5ins. CONDITION REPORT: The height including the rear up stand is 32.25 inches. The cabinet is in generally extremely good condition. The top front sides and legs are undamaged. The rear of the piece has two very small pieces of moulding missing but as these are at the rear they cannot be seen and are not significant.

An Edwardian mahogany longcase clock, with steeple and ball finial between the swans neck and above the arched glazed door enclosing the 10.5 inch arched silvered brass dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, with strike and silent to the arch, with long trunk door flanked by fluted quarter column corners and raised on ogee bracket feet. Height to top of swans neck 78 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This clock is in generally extremely good order. It is ticking away and appears to keep good time. We cannot see any problems with the case other than very minor scuffs around the feet. The movement is in good condition. The door is not warped we have the original weights and heavy pendulum.
