Vigne, Bath", 207 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The hood is missing the door handle and has had repairs at some point. Has areas of damage throughout including the two side covings are off but present, the base has various splits to the wood veneer. Unknown if clock is in full working order however, the face is scratched and marked throughout. One handl is broken. The secondary dial hand has damage. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more details.

Masson, Paris: a French Boulle marquetry bracket clock , the 22cms decorative circular dial with white enamel shaped numeral cartouches and blue roman numerals, fitted with an 18th Century eight-day two-train movement striking on a gong, circular tapered pillars, the backplate signed 'Masson Paris' , the large solid count-wheel is numbered (1-12), with silk suspended pendulum (cycloidal cheeks), the 19th Century ornate Boulle work case with detachable scroll decorated top surmounted by a figure of Old Father Time flanked by finials, arched glazed door below with pierced foliate apron with interior panel decorated with two female figures of Flora and Urania flanking a globe with enamelled nameplate 'Masson Paris', canted sides surmounted by cherubs and decorated with foliate designs continuing down to caryatid supports, shaped glazed panel sides, raised on decorative incurved platform with square section acanthus feet, the whole raised on a Boulle work bombé-shaped stand on gilt paw feet, 210.5cms high (some damage).
