A fine quality and rare mid 18th century crossbanded walnut veneered and herringbone inlaid cased striking eight day longcase clock with spherical ball moonface movement by Thomas Ogden of Halifax, circa 1750, the 35cm arched brass dial applied with dolphin, mask and scrolling foliage spandrels, the dial with subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and twin winding holes, the elegant trunk having a shaped door with glazed lenticle, the crossbanded base raised on a moulded outswept plinth and short bracket feet, with twin weights and pendulum, height 240cm (Illustrated)
A flintlock boxlock tinder lighter, c 1800, by Burgon, London, the main parts of all brass construction, with ring neck cock, steel trigger guard and dark walnut slab butt. GWO & basically GC with pleasing patina overall, (stand, candle holder and hinged door securing catch missing).. Note: John Burgon is listed as a "Hardwareman, Cutler, Gun Maker and Gun Flint Dealer, of 15-16 Fish St, Hill (Opposite the Monument), 1790-1811

An unusual 1960's German clockwork "Auto-Dux 640" tinplate and plastic Volkswagen constructional set. Comprising bodies, clockwork motors and chassis to create 2 vehicles at a time. Contents include bodies for Vans/microbuses, a Beetle and a 1500 2 door saloon, in various colours and "DUX" van liveries. Boxed with inner and clear plastic cover. Lid split at corners. Contents GC-VGC. They have been used, mostly minor wear/chipping. A few pieces look to be missing.Plate.1
A George III eight day long case clock, the arched brass dial with phases of the moon, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed Richard Howard, New Brentford, matted centre, Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, with urn and eagle spandrels, the black lacquered chinoiserie case with applied prints to the door and base, 84 1/2" high.
A 19th Century oak eight day long case clock, the arched painted Arabic dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, the arch and spandrels decorated fishing and castle ruin scenes, inscribed Robson, Chester le St., the flat top hood with turned columns above a canted trunk with mahogany crossbanded door and base raised on bracket feet, 86" high.
A Georgian oak eight day long case clock, the arched painted Roman dial with figural spandrels representing The Four Seasons, the hood with swan neck pediment and fluted columns above a shaped topped door flanked by quarter columns with a rosewood and mahogany banded base on bracket feet, 91" high.
