An 18th Century oak longcase clock, Chaz Philpot, Bromyard With a moulded cornice above a ten inch brass dial the dial painted with Roman numerals and flanked by gilt metal scrolling leaf and cherub mask spandrels, the thirty hour movement with a single finger dial over a plain rectangular moulded door and front board on a later plinth base, 197cm. CONDITION REPORT: Case has been restored at some point, along with dial. The movement has been mounted on a later board, indicates movement and clock are a marriage. Board behind the clock dial missing and glass from hood door missing. Has weight and pendulum. Working condition unknown.

The clock has been previously restored. The silvered dial would appear to have been re-silvered and the chapter ring numerals re-painted. The movement appears unaltered but is very dusty and would benefit from a clean and service. The case has been restored and has a polished surface, the trunk door appears unwarped. The case has some warping, which is most noticeable when a hand is passed over it. The back boards have several holes drilled into them.Overall the clock appears clean and the dial fits quite well to the hood aperture
