An Edwardian rosewood and inlaid side cabinet of canted form, the single central drawer above two cupboard doors flanked by two further cupboard doors on turned supports, united by an undertier, 114 cm wide x 99 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whillst basically sound, the piece has wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout including scratching to the top, plugged dowel holes to the rear of the top suggesting that there should have been a back of some sort. The central doors have a slight gap at the middle and the doors have signs of old light scratching all over. The interior of the centre and sides has scratching conducive with age and use. The right hand side of the panels with the vase marquetry inlaid decoration appears to have been enhanced with dark Indian ink. The left door lower panel has cracking vertically in a jagged form. There are also some signs of Indian ink embellishment to the base at the front right hand edge. See images for further detail.
A Victorian walnut and marquetry inlaid side cabinet, the single glazed door of shaped form enclosing a red velvet lined interior flanked by medieval revival mask capped gilt brass pilasters raised on a bracket foot base 84 cm wide x 109 cm high x 32 cm deep CONDITION REPORTS Whilst basically sound, the top has some repair and re-colouring with presumably Indian ink - see images. Brasswork slightly tarnished throughout, though basically again sound. Woodwork to the front has knocks dents and scratches conducive with age and use to the surface. Some areas of repair/old re-colouring with Indian ink particularly to bottom left and top right beneath the brasswork. The base has restaining to both extremities. Side panels to left with splitting, to right light splitting and darker colour obviously out of the sun. The red velvet interior is discoloured throughout with evidence of former inhabitants i.e. chinawares or glasswares
A Victorian painted pine enclosed dresser with central cupboard door flanked by two banks of three drawers raised on a plinth base 135 cm wide x 50 cm deep x 85 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whilst basically sound, the top has a large split along the grain and repaired damage or splitting top right. The drawers seem basically sound though there is some wear and tear conducive with age. The paintwork is later and worn in several areas which may be the desired effect of shabby chateau chic? A Victorian ash triple wardrobe with central mirrored door enclosing a linen shelf (two missing) over three drawers flanked by two hanging cupboards raised on a plinth base, bears label inscribed "Blyth & Sons Manufacturers 4 Chiswell St, London" CONDITION REPORTS Widest part at the top of the piece is 192 cm. Depth of top plinth is 60 cm.Widest part at the bottom of the piece is 182 cm. Depth of bottom plinth is 56cm.Width of the 3 compartments is 180 cm wide.Overall height 210 cm.Internal measurements of each of the three compartments are 54 cm wide x 49 cm deep x 175 cm high.Two outer compartments are roughly lined with a Laura Ashley? red cherry decorated wallpaper. See photos.Middle mirrored compartment is roughly painted at the top. There is only 1 linen drawer present and this does not currently move. A George IV oak and inlaid bureau as a marriage piece the plain top over a sloping fall enclosing a parquetry inlaid interior with various drawers and central cupboard door over a slim drawer inscribed "P.R.M.-H.S.R.- 1828" over three long graduated drawers to bracket feet CONDITION REPORTS There are watermarks and splits mainly to the top/fall front. Possible repair to the fall front. No handles or evidnace of there ever being any. Damage to feet particuarly one, with areas of moulding missing near it. It has been in a smokers house.
