A 19th century tooled leather cabinet housing the works of Walter Scott (1771-1832). The central door set with an oval panel depicting a girl and birds, flanked by shelves. Decorated in gilt and red livery and rams head masks to sides, resting on paw feet. h. 35 cm CONDITION REPORT: Scuff, marks and wear to the leather. Slight tear in the central picture. Books appear to be in generally good order, some minor foxing and signs of age.

The 30 hour clock by Richardson Easingwold, York, having an arched painted dial with Roman numerals and date aperture and spandrels decorated with floral spray (44 cms). The oak case with a molded scroll pediment and turned pillars to either side of the hood, an attractive shaped trunk door flanked by two inlaid columns, supported on bracket feet (af; the rear feet are missing), approx 55 x 28 x 220 cms. The clock complete with weights and pendulum.
