A Victorian walnut cased bracket clock the circular dial signed Wymark & Son, London, the case of Gothic design with bud finials, pierced sides and glazed door to the back, fitted a twin-fusee striking movement and with pull repeat, clock 58.5cm high, bracket 37.5cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Arch top with lifting veneer. Both finials loose. Gothic fret work silk at sides in poor condition. Otherwise case is sound. Dial rather dull, pitted in places and scratched. At present, in intermittent working order. Case and movement original.
A George IV mahogany linen press, circa 1825, the moulded cornice above two panelled doors within rope twist pilasters, the base with two short and two long drawers, 203.25cm x 124.5cm/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: Slides not present. Has been converted for hanging. Central panel of left hand door slightly concave. Short drawer runner slightly damaged. Veneer lifting in places. Scratches and stains throughout acceptable with age. Linen press breaks into three pieces, legs loose.
A Charles II oak two stage chest, inlaid in ebony, mother of pearl and bone, fitted a frieze drawer with dated panel '1662', above a deep drawer with applied octagonal and circular panels with matching doors below, enclosing three drawers, on block feet, 118cm wide x 126cm high x 60cm deep/Provenance: Biggs of Maidenhead/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: Some mother of pearl inlay missing, noticeably to lower cupboard door. Lower drawer right hand moulded roundel missing some moulding. Top drawer split inside. Left hand cupboard door with metal ties to door split. Lock replaced. We believe Charles II and later.
