A FINE QUALITY JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD GOLD LACQUERED WOOD & INLAID CABINET, with two hinged doors above a drawer to the foot, the doors opening to reveal four variously sized gold lacquered drawers, one of the doors finely decorated with a caparisoned elephant its hanging jewels in onlaid hardstones, the other door with three boys, their faces in onlaid and carved ivory, the whole with engraved bronze hinges and fittings, 14.4in wide x 8.25in deep x 13.3in high.

A continental 19th century flame mahogany dressing chest, the top having door with swing frame mirror inset, opening to reveal shelves and pigeon holes, the base having twin doors with arched panel and brass moulding, opening to reveal slide out panels, raised on squat square tapering legs (W104cm, D54cm, H205cm)
An oak-cased clock by Thomas Vale of Walsall 1760-1770. The eight-day movement has a brass hammer, indicating it was a library clock. The brass face has a smiling sun in the arch, there are two spandrels with dolphins and waves. There is a separate silvered chapter ring, a day date and second hand. The carved door has two intertwining flowers - indication of a marriage - and the plinth is carved with grapes and vine leaves, the hands look to have been replaced by mid 19th century examples
A George III mahogany longcase clock, with swan neck and dentil moulded pillar hood, with full length trunk door, plain moulded base and bracket feet, the 30cm square arch brass dial engraved with floral and shell spandrels and having strike / silent dial to the arch, Roman hour and Arabic minute numerals, subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, marked John Safley, NICOLSON'S PARK EDIN. R, 8-day movement striking a bell, 225cm high.

A GEORGE III MAHOGANY DRESSING TABLE, C1780 the crossbanded top with barber pole stringing, fitted with drawers in matched veneers, brushing slide, apron drawer and figured door to the recess, the brass handles and escutcheon apparently original, 86cm h; 50 x 25cm ++In good unrestored condition, fine quality timber of pleasing colour/patina. The top with a number of old scratches and stains, small veneer losses in places, one drawer with small hole in the front and lacking the escutcheon. One or two old minor repairs, shrinkage crack on one side, all but one of the drawers with lock, the drawer linings and backboards original. A high quality example
