Y&nbspA REGENCY ROSEWOOD AND GILT METAL MOUNTED SIDE CABINET CIRCA 1820 The French marble top above a pair of mirrored doors and flanking turned columns 92cm high, 93cm wide, 34cm deep Condition Report: The side cabinet is in a lovely, fairly untouched condition. The mirror plates in the doors are a little speckled, the rosewood is faded in a few places (eg at the top of the viewing right door) The gilt-metal mounts are a little dirty in places, but there are still areas of fresh gilding peeping through. A small section of gilt metal moulding missing from the top of the (viewing right) side panel. The bleu turquin marble in good condition. A GEORGE I WALNUT OYSTER VENEERED AND OLIVE WOOD CABINET EARLY 18TH CENTURY with a fitted drawer and replaced handles 183.5cm high, 123cm wide, 40cm deep Condition Report: The walnut cabinet has been extensively restored, with later handles, later blue paper-lined interior to the upper section, replacements to mouldings and lacking end-cut ('oyster-veneering') to the lower side panels. A section of waist moulding missing above the (viewing) right door. Some losses to the crossbanding on the viewing right side panel. There are two adjustable shelves in the lower section. A WILLIAM & MARY INLAID WALNUT ESCRITOIRE LATE 17TH CENTURY AND LATER Of unusual, small proportions 162cm height, 89cm width, 48cm depth Condition Report: The handles and feet are replaced. The walnut is a lovely, rich and warm colour. The fall front has two horizontal shrinkage splits running across the centre, the interior central door with a vertical shrinkage split. The cornice moulding with some reglued sections of moulding. Each upper side panel has a filled vertical shrinkage crack. Y&nbspAN EBONY AND EBONISED, IVORY MARQUETRY INLAID CABINET ON STAND PROBABLY ITALIAN, LATE 17TH CENTURY The cabinet with arrangement of drawers around a central cupboard, the cupboard presenting a panel depicting 'Our Lady of the Sacred Heart', the base with bobbin-turned supports 125cm high, 63cm wide, 38cm deep Provenance: Bonhams, Pictures, Furniture, Tribal, Islamic and European Works of Art, 12th June 2013, Lot 551Please note, Dreweatts have applied for a de minimis exemption licence for the ivory in this lot (Ref:RGPFC94S) Condition Report: There are minor losses and splits to veneers on the sides, some re-ebonising to colour in the losses. Some splits in the central ivory panel (depicting the Christian allegorical figure of Charity). Behind the central door is a recess with a mirror at the rear, and a shelf above which was originally fitted with a vertical division, now lacking. The cabinet was originally fitted with a fall front, fixed at the lower edge - there are four filled screw holes along the lower edge and two striking points in the upper edge for the flap to be held in place. The back panel has a horizontal split and a small replaced horizontal strip along the lower edge. The stand is sturdy but a little wobbly. Condition Report Disclaimer
