A near pair of George III brass and glazed hall lanterns A near pair of George III brass and glazed hall lanterns, late 18th / early 19th century, of hexagonal section, the rectangular panes with scrolling foliate and anthemia cast mounts above and with outscrolling acanthus fronds at the upper angles, above cluster reeded uprights and block feet with floral patera mounts, each with six serpentine reeded supports rising above to a hanging ring, one lantern with one hinged pane as a door and foliate cast rails between the feet, the finial castings differing, both with later electrical fitments, 86 and 76cm high overall respectively, 38.5cm wide
