COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS, WORLD MEDALS, NETHERLANDS William II (1626-1647-1650), Prince of Orange and Stadtholder, Death, engraved Silver Medal, 1650, unsigned, crowned shield of arms of Amsterdam, with lion supporters, “Gesegend Amstelstad, Die Vreede En Vryheyd Voeyt”, date in exergue, rev Liberty seated amidst military trophies holding olive branch and staff topped with ‘Liberty’ cap, “En Die In Nood Door Macht Ook Twist En Twedracht Boeyt”, 71mm (vL II, 330/331, 2). Extremely fine or virtually so, with even grey tone, extremely rare. William was married at the age of 14, in 1641, to Princess Mary, the daughter of Charles I of England, then aged only 9. He was to die of smallpox in 1650 and his infant son, also William, succeeded him. This William married another Princess Mary, the daughter of James II of England, the couple succeeding to the throne of Great Britain in 1689 at the time of the Glorious Revolution.

A triple door mahogany effect wardrobe by Younger Furniture CONDITION REPORTS Overall with general wear and scuffs and a few knocks and chips but generally appears in reasonably tidy order. There have been some holes drilled to the insides of the doors (not visible from the front of the doors). Wardrobe currently and partially assembled but back panels not attached fully. Some pins holding the shelves in place appear to be missing. Size approx 190 cm high x 60 cm deep x 150 cm wide.
An armoire / wardrobe with central mirrored arched door flanked by two slim panelled doors opening to reveal hanging rail, a shelf and three internal drawers to base CONDITION REPORTS In used condition with knocks bumps and scratches throughout and some splits, chips and losses. Some pin / nail holes across top arch possibly where there might also have been some further decoration (now missing). Some slight variations to the colour to the doors with the narrow flanking doors appearing slightly darker. Some deterioration to the mirror plate. Size approx 165 cm wide x 60 cm deep x 213 cm high.
An early 20th Century oak dresser with plate rack raised on barley-twist supports CONDITION REPORTS Appx 107cm wide, 47cm deep, 194cm high. Wear, scuffs, chips. Beading added as plate retainers. A small carved panel has been screwed to the boards of the upper section. Some separating at joins. Wear, scuffs and chips. Splits to the beading to the door / door edge. Some cracks and deterioration to varnish. Top board of base section is loose.
An early 20th Century CQR tool chest, the fall front enclosing four short and three long drawers, each containing a wide variety of vintage tooling and tools by S W Capd Manufacturing Co. Mansfield Massachussetts, Joseph Lucas Limited, Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing Co. Providence USA, the LSS Co. Athol Mass USA, Moore and Wright of Sheffield LS Starrett Co., W Ward, etc CONDITION REPORTS The box; General wear and tear throughout, with assorted cracks, scratches, indent marks, splits and some very minor missing pieces. There are some marks including white paint splatter marks to the top and the CQR mark to the top is worn. . The door needs attention to the top right hand corner as the horizontal bar appears to have slipped. The door is stamped 'W. H. T. Ward'. which is probably the owner and not the maker. The drawers are suffering from general wear and tear, and are probably a little over loaded. The brass handles are worn in places due to use. The leather handle is worn but is intact, however the fittings for the handle are rusting. The bottom drawer is stamped 'REGD No 055619'. All tools are bearing signs of rust and general wear and tear, some are bent. Approximate dimensions are 26 cm high x 41.5 cm wide and 20 cm deep.
