Märklin: Märklin HO Gauge 3-rail No.4789 "German State Railroads Wagon" pack containing 8 Freight Cars of different principal railroads around 1910 (comprising 2 x sliding door Box Van with Brakeman's Cab, Baggage Van, 2 x Open Wagons, 2 x Open Wagons with Brakeman's Cab, Bolster Wagon and Road Lorry along with information booklet), contained within original box.
An 18th Century Oak Hanging Cupboard. The central plank door hung on small cocks-head hinges centred by a gouge carved lozenge motif with further lozenge carving to the twin side panels. The framework enhanced with stained channel moulding, 26 ins (66 cms) high, 32 ins (81 cms) wide, 12½ ins (32 cms) deep.
A Small Continental Oak Cupboard on Stand inlaid with decorative bands and adorned with figured elm columns and veneers. The upper frieze housing a drawer above an architectural door front with break arch pediment centred by a cherubs head over an arched niche flanked by columns and fitted with a sprung iron lock & key. The integral side columns enriched with blind-fretwork and raised on break-front plinths. The base with further drawer, standing on knopped baluster legs leading down to a base platform, 60½ ins (153.5 cms) high, 28 ins (71 cms) wide, 17 ins (43 cms) deep.
A Small 19th Century Oak Spice Cupboard in the 17th Century style. The door carved with Arabesque strap-work and centred with an oval cabochon appliqué within deep, chip carved edge moulding and pendant garlands of fruit and foliage either side. The interior fitted with two jar compartments over four drawers, 21½ ins (55 cms) high, 16 ins (41 cms) wide, 9 ins (23 cms) deep.
A 17th Century Cheshire Oak Canted Livery Cupboard, Circa 1630. The dentil moulded top above a canted cupboard with decorative moulded lozenge appliqués adorning the door and side panels, flanked by cannon barrel turned posts above similarly turned legs leading down to a base shelf below, 47½ ins (121 cms) high, 55 ins (140 cms) wide, 15 ins (38 cms) deep.
A 17th Century & Later Carved & Inlaid Oak Livery Cupboard. The two cupboard doors inlaid with bands of intricate chequerwork and enriched with carving; one door centred by the initialed E.H., the other F.H., flanking an arcaded centre panel containing an Atlante. The bulbous front supports and moulded rear stiles leading down to a platform base, 43 ins (109 cms) high, 53½ ins (136 cms) in width, 17¼ ins (44 cms) in depth.
A 17th Century Carved Oak Mural Cupboard. The panel door decorated with a flowering plant issuing a fanned bloom of scalloped segments defined against a recessed pitted ground and embellished with punchwork. The frame enriched with jewel-work carving, opening to reveal a bank of six drawers below pigeon holes to the interior, 28¾ ins (73 cms) high, 27 ins (69 cms) wide, 11 ins (28 cms) deep.
Collection of Five Carved Wooden Fragments: Two rails carved in relief with renaissance scrolls of undulating foliage issuing berries & flowers with a winged dragon exhaling foliate sprays to one 5 ins x 10 ins (13 cms x 25.5 cms), and a lion to the other 3 ins x 25 ins (7.5 cm x 64 cms). A 17th century muntin enriched with foliate carved S-scrolls 16½ ins x 5½ ins (42 cm x 14 cms). A planked cupboard door decorated with strapwork 21 ins x 14 ins (3.5 cm x 36 cms), and an oak panel of strapwork above stop fluting and sunken reeds, 34 ins (87 cms) high 9½ ins (24 cms) wide.
A 17th Century Buffet Deux Corps. The upper and lower cupboards having moulded door panels carved with depictions of the evangelists and their symbols flanked by cherubic caryatids above pendant garlands of fruit & flowers. A Mid 17th Century Flemish Carved Oak Four-door Cupboard or ‘Beeldenkast’ with an upper and lower cupboard above two frieze drawers. The single panel upper doors and twin panel lower doors carved with scrolling foliage to the centres adorned with ebonised facet cut appliqués and bosses within broad moulded borders, flanked by stop fluted pilasters with inlaid ebony reeds and scrolled capitals. The moulded base ornamented with carved lion masks and standing on heavy bun feet 73 ins (185.5 cms) in height, 52 ins (132 cms) wide, 23 ins (59 cms) deep.
