A late 19th century carriage clock with French 8 day repeat movement and replacement lever escapement, striking on a gong, back plate signed Hunt & Roskell London and numbered 5653, tu-tone blue and gold enamelled dial with bamboo border, Roman numerals and Bruguet style hands. In an Anglaise style gilt metal case with fluted decoration, top mounted swing handle and Japanese influence tu -tone blue and gold enamelled porcelain side panels and rear door, decorated with scenes of birds and fish, porcelain panels also numbered 5633. (Key lacking). 19cm overall height including handle.
Late 19th century bracket clock retailed by Thomas Russell & Son of Liverpool & London with Westminster chiming fusee movement striking on 8 bells, in ebonised case with brass mounts, with matching wall bracket, approximately 53cm high excluding bracketCondition report: General overall condition is very good, clock has a chain driven fusee movement and both movement and dial are clean, case is good, some scuffing, particularly inside front door and back, minor cracking to veneer, four corner pineapple finials are loose and there is no key to rear door, some minor wear to gilding. This clock came from a deceased estate, the gentleman was a collector and we are advised he regularly had his clocks maintained. We have not had this particular clock going and therefore we are unable to confirm if it is in full working order.

Folding screen has tears, minor rips to the panels, the applied decoration is lifting in parts, staining, discolouration. The larger boards have wear, especially to the edges and outer edges. The arched door with obvious signs that it was a door with screw holes present, the back with numerous rips and tears. The smaller screens lifting and losses.

Light surface scratches throughout. Rubbing to the metalwork, the door pin has been lost and is replaced with a crude fitting at the moment. A couple of small chips to the corners of the bevelled glass on the back door. Dial appears ok.
WINTERHALDER & HOFMEIER; an impressive Victorian ebonised bracket clock with five applied bronzed metal urn finials and applied detail, flanking the brass face with applied silver dials, the larger dial bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, raised on claw feet, with ebonised bracket, overall height 99cm, with presentation plaque to body.Additional InformationThe presentation reads 'Presented to Mr Samuel Woollam by the Unionists of the South West...of Manchester, in recognition of valuable service rendered during a period of ten years, December 2nd 1891', the case with splits, the finials are slightly loose, there are scuffs, gouges and scratches to the case, wear to the metalwork, the movement looks af, and the chimes are slightly loose/need tightening, complete with pendulum, we offer no guarantee that the clock is in working, losses to the veneer to the reverse, the lock is missing from the door back, a couple of the feet are loose, the bracket with large open splits.

Norris August 1914', height 275cm, width 140cm.Provenance: Farnworth Masonic Lodge, No.350.Additional InformationNumerous losses to the front and side panels, the door has been forced at some point and a large chip has come away from the left side of the door, the door is sticking slightly, replacement shelves, losses around escutcheon, scratches and scuffs throughout, splitting to side panels.

Additional InformationMirror with some degrading of silvering but nothing serious. Odd slight mark to wood or minor nicks to back edges of side panels. Leather shelf with general minor age wear. Overall of a good colour and appearance. No key for the lock.
