A fine George II ebonised bracket timepiece by John Everell, LondonCirca 1750 The case with a brass knopped swing handle above a caddy top and a six inch gilt metal break arch dial signed John Everell, London with Roman and Arabic numerals and applied with scrolling foliate and human mask openwork spandrels, the clock with a single fusee movement and pull repeat on two bells with a verge escapement and a back plate ornately engraved with a bird amongst scrolling foliage. The front door of the clock with two fret work panels enclosing the break arch dial with a conforming rear door and each side with two shaped glazed apertures above a plinth base and bracket feet, height 43cm CONDITION REPORT: Case with some marks and knocksPossible repair to moulding on the top of caseClock runs/repeats when wound, but this is no guarantee it is in full working condition see images.
A George III mahogany linen press adapted for hanging, 132cm wide Condition Report: Height 197cm and depth 59cm.The linen press has been adapted for hanging and the two short and first long drawer being drawer fronts only. There are no sliding trays. The veneer to the cornice frieze is split and rising in places, there is a noticeable gouge to the top left side and right door has a split, the handles on the drawers are later and there are gouges to the left hand base.
