Circa 1900 Alfred Brown & Co Birmingham Salesman Catalogue, detailing various locks, door knobs, brackets and other fittings / items they supply. Hardbound book has details of the company the catalogue was sent to with printed client number. Dated 1900 to the inside. Some wear and staining to the front cover and spine.
A Regency mahogany bookcase with shaped cornice, fitted adjustable shelves enclosed by a pair of twin glazed arch-top doors, on an associated base fitted a drawer and glazed cupboard beneath, 87cm wide, 178cm high, 33cm deep Condition Report: Veneer cracks to the frieze and with some indentations. Frieze returns also show some signs of cracking. Sides with pitting. Door mouldings gouged in places. Base lintel stained and with scratches. Cupboard doors flimsy. Interior lined with material at a later date.
A late 18th century French Provence walnut buffet a glissant, the raised top with a pair of panelled sliding doors flanking a central cupboard, the door with an iron lock plate and carved with leaves and flowers, with a serpentine edge above carved panels of flowers and foliage above a pair of panelled doors, enclosing a converted interior with mahogany drawers, the base centred an urn on cabriole legs carved with leaves and scroll toes, 142.9cm high, 138cm wide, 60cm deep.
An oyster veneered collector's cabinet, probably cocus wood, the moulded edge top above a hinged fall revealing five crossbanded and burr veneered graduated drawers with divisions and fitted with turned ebonized disc handles, on turned bun feet, 48.5cm high, 44.2cm wide, 28cm deep. Lot 71 - Collectors cabinet - this is a British made piece in my opinion. Overall the veneers are quite clean and lack depth to patination, have been restored? The oyster panels are a little dry and are cracked and have shifted. Some lifting to ebony stringing. A section of veneer off to the left edge of the door. A large section of oyster veneer missing to the back panel. Small chips to corners of top. Some losses to ebonised banding on drawer fronts (one section present). A section of veneer missing to inside of door, another section shifted. Some old chips to edges of handles. 19th century.
A George II mahogany standing corner cupboard, with a pair of arched fielded panel doors enclosing a green and parcel gilt painted interior, with three shaped shelves and fitted with three spice drawers with brass knob handles, on bracket feet, 144cm high, 89cm wide, 54cm deep. Lot 75 - Mahogany corner cupboard - old chips and cracks to cornice and frieze. General surface wear, with old marks and scratches. The right door warped slightly. Handles later. Lock missing. Minor cracks to doors. Old cracks and chips to feet. Some back boards loose. One drawer handle replaced.
A late Regency serpentine sideboard, with two central drawers, flanked by a cupboard to the left side with a dummy front and two drawers to the right side, all fitted with later brass handles, on square tapering legs and spade feet, 91.9cm high, 187.3cm wide, 73cm deep. Lot 82 - Mahogany sideboard - this has recently been restored. Some repaired chips and cracks to top. With some old marks and scratches. Old chips and losses to edge of top. Repairs to cockbeading on cupboard door and drawers. The base of the cupboard has lifted and needs attention. Front right leg has been repaired. Some later blocking to underside.

A rosewood book case, 19th century, with cushion moulded cornice, above two rectangular glazed doors enclosing shelves, on a pedestal base with two pairs of cupboard doors, on bracket feet, 211cm high x 139cm wide x 37cm deep CONDITION REPORT: some overall discolouration to the front, minor dents and old scratches throughout, with a scratch to the top of the base to the left hand side, small section of veneer missing from bottom pane divide to right hand door, repair to veneer of internal shelf lip, no cracks to the glass, locks in working order, with key, overall in good/fairly good condition with minor blemishes.
A large Victorian leather topped mahogany partners desk, 19th century, the tooled black leather top above three frieze drawers, on three raised drawers, upon casters, 78cm high x 153cm wide x 105cm deep. CONDITION REPORT: veneer losses, minor wear, beading missing to drawers, splits to sides, otherwise good, 1, potentially re-polished to all surfaces, but no signs of surface work to this piece. Overall surface is good and can be revived, leather top, general scuffing and wear. 2 All locks present, no key, a door and drawer locked 3. All panels to side side pedestals have longitudinal expansion cracks, one drawer has cockbeading missing to one side, losses to veneers in bases of pedestals by foot wells, plus scuffs to high points in foot wells, one pedestal has missing veneer 4 cm x 2cm. We retain 2 pieces of veneer, possibly from pedestal base
