A George III mahogany eight-day repeating bracket clock, by Ellicott and Taylor, Royal Exchange, London, the 7¾in (19cm) enamel dial with Roman numerals and inscribed below a 'concealed' brass seconds dial and N-S lever, the twin fusee repeating movement striking the hours on a bell, the backplate engraved 'Ellicott & Taylor, London' within an engraved border, the case with an arched top, brass pierced fish scale panels, carrying handles and brass ball feet,31cm wide19cm deep45cm highEdward Ellicott was of the third generation of a distinguished line of London clockmakers. His grandfather, the eminent John Ellicott FRS (1706-1772), was succeeded by Edward Snr and Jnr. The partnership with John Taylor was formed in 1811. He was free of the Clockmakers' Company in 1795 and later Master. He died in 1835. Condition ReportIt appears the clock was restored in 2013, thus it seems in good order. The working order of the movement is not guaranteed. Complete with winding two door keys.

Overall appears in fair order.

Movement: Re-bushed spindles, evident to the engraved backplate. The chapter ring with acceptable silvering, though some minor degradation. The movement is running but cannot guarantee timekeeping in situ. The movement appears complete and ticks however not extensively tested.

General wear, knocks and scratches to the hood and the case. Split to inside of the door. Damage to backboards, with a later baton applied. Case appears cleaned and re-finished. Areas of wear to the silver dial. Scratches and marks. Ticks and chimes when wound, however a little eratically and we would recommend inspection by a professional. Tarnish and discolouration to brass. Associated winding key present.
A lacquered, inlaid and gilt-heightened cabinet on stand,late 17th century/early 18th century and later, Japanese, the upper section with foliate-engraved gilt-brass mounts and decorated with warriors on horseback, with a pair of doors enclosing chinoiserie-decorated drawers, raised on a later giltwood base carved with flowers and foliage, and raised on figural supports united by stretchers,86cm wide44cm deep151cm highHas most likely seen some professional attention, alteration and restoration, particularly to the interiors. Splits to tops, sides and doors. Losses and chips to lacquer and inlay. Some mounts loose, bent and damaged. One of which causes the right-hand door to fall when opened. The later stand shows signs of age, with its aesthetic qualities and some elements suggesting an 18th or 19th century date, however there is a thick layer of gold paint to much of it which makes close scrutiny difficult, so we are unable to rile out as to whether or not it may in fact be from the early part of the 20th century but perhaps fabricated from earlier timbers. Viewing in person is highly recommended. Generally sturdy with functional drawers and doors.Measurements above total including cabinet and stand, cabinet alone 76cm wide, 69cm high, 38.5cm deep.
George III mahogany bracket clock, moulded top, arched glazed door, glazed side panels, moulded feet, seven inch arched brass dial with cast spandrels, silvered chapter ring, strike silent and date aperture, signed Henry Barlow, London, twin fusee movement with engraved backplate, striking on a bell, height 46cm.Condition report:Case is generally looking good but has had repairs, notably to the top moulding, hinges, locks, framing of glass, feet, the dial is not a great fit for the case, movement has clealry been recently overhauled and appears complete and ticks and chimes, anchor escapement.
Vienna walnut cased wall clock, ivorine dial, with subsidiary second dial (defective) double weight-driven movement, by Gustav Becker, case with eagle and balustraded pediment piece, fluted pilaster strips, flanking a glazed panelled door, gadrooned pendant piece, overall height 140cm.Condition report:The second dial is missing the hands, the top-left edge is detached, and there is damage to the eagle wing. The clock is untested. Light wear and rubbing to all edges.

Late Victorian inlaid mahogany freestanding corner cupboard, the top with moulded edge, bracket feet, width 83cm, depth 53cm, height 99cm.Condition report:Presumably the lower half of a taller cabinet, the top of the back boards is unfinished and visible, small loss of crossbanding to the front left corner, and right front, door is a little faded, replaced door catch, adapted feet which are now quite tall.

The case and bracket are one piece.

Condition report:Some repairs to the pediment and mouldings on the hood, dial has monir discolouration, again some monor repairs to the moulding on the trink and visible old splits to the sides, has a peneulum, weights, winding key and door key. movement doesnt currently but needs to be properly set up where it will stay for some time.
