A George III mahogany repeating table clock, John Lambert, last quarter 18th century, the case with inverted bell top surmounted by a brass swing handle and flanked by four acorn finials, the break arch door with Rococo style brass quadrants, the sides with glass panels, on a plinth base with brass bracket feet, the arched silvered dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, the gilt matted centre with silvered plate signed Jn Lambert London and date aperture at six, with Strike / Silent subsidiary dial to arch and having C-scroll spandrels, the twin fusee movement with verge escapement, the backplate finely engraved with scrolling flowers and foliage, striking a bell and having pull cord repeat, the pendulum with pear shaped bob, with two case keys, 51cm high (handle extended), 27.5cm wide, 18.3cm deep Provenance: Private London collection, purchased by current owner from W.
