A 19th century mahogany 'True Moon Phase' 8-day calendar Longcase Clock, Robert Lawson Leigh, with calendar hand and moon phase indicator, the arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, black Roman numerals marking the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes and calendar, the silvered centre with moon phase indicator dial inscribed "The Moons Age", decorated in gilt and also inscribed "Time Shews the Way of Lifes Decay", questionmark scroll spandrels, the arch with maker's name, true moon phase and demi-lune landscape painting, the 8-day movement, striking the hours and half hours on a bell, with deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, unusual and exceptional true moon phase mechanism, compensating pendulum and two weights, the mahogany Chippendale style case with boxwood stringing, arched swan-neck hood, cluster columns, triple pointed Gothic door, plinth base and bracket feet, 98in (249cm) high x 24in (61cm) wide x 10in (25.5cm) deep. Overall good condition. Seat appears not original and movement possibly has later alterations, therefore viewing is recommended.
A Victorian aesthetic style large Compactum Wardrobe by John Taylor and Son of Edinburgh, with central mirror door flanked by panel doors with carved roundals and decorative heavy brass handles and hinges. The right hand door opening to reveal sliders over drawers and the left hand door revealing hanging space over a single drawer. Surmounted by a stylized cornice. 87in (221cm) wide
A 19th century mahogany 8-day Mantel Clock, of arched form with 8in (20.25cm) diameter dial signed G. Fillinger, Ely, black Roman numerals, brass twin-fusee movement striking on a bell, the case door with climbing ivy decoration, 20in (50.75cm) high x 14in (35.5cm) wide x 8½in (21.5cm) deep.
A good 19th c. ebonised Side Cabinet/Credenza with ormolu details, and beading, four gilded fluted pillar with ormolu capitals, the central door revealing a blue velvet lined interior and flanked by similarly lined display cabinets with curved glazed doors, the whole standing on turned and beaded feet. Quite possibly this piece dates from circa 1861/1862, the ebony in tribute to the passing of Prince Albert, the frieze with inset blue and white Wedgwood style details, 67 3/4'' wide, 17 3/4'' deep x 44 1/2'' high, (some losses)
A German Third Reich Kriegsmarine Bulk Head Clock, in a brown painted sheet brass drum case, the 17cm circular silvered dial with black Arabic twenty-four hour numerals enclosing a subsidiary seconds dial, eagle and swastika over M (Marine), and maker's star logo for Junghans, with blackened steel hands, enclosed by a glazed hinged door with chrome bezel, together with a chrome winding key 20cm by 8cm. Some scratching to dial and paint of case. Some pitting to chrome bezel. Working order. .
ALLAM, LONDON A LATE 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK, the square silvered face with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, having secondary dial, a five pillar 8-day movement with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, with two brass cased weights and pendulum, the hood with classical pediment, flanked by columns, the figured carcase door flanked by columns (brass capitals and bases missing) on box base, 219cm high (possibly William Allam who was free of the Clockmakers Company in 1743 and worked until 1795)
