An early 20th century regulator wall clock signed to the 10 inch white enamel dial for JG Baer, Sumiswald, Switzerland, P.T.T (Swiss Post, Telegraph and Telephone formed in 1928), the dial having Arabic numerals and also 24-hour numerals in red, matching steel hands, time-only movement no. 4027, of heavy construction (stamped Maker of ‘Horloges Monumentales’!) with deadbeat escapement and maintaining power, micro-adjust beat setting, wood rod pendulum with substantial brass bob and single driving weight, mahogany case of functional form with glazed opening door, 158cm tall.
