The top is scratched and there are some deep indents to it. Overall in good condition. A little bit of missing trim to the left-hand door and a large section running down the right-hand door is missing. Various bumps, scratches and knocks commensurate with age.

Comes with original pendulum and winding key.

The flame veneered figured Mahogany case with swan neck pediment above a blind fretwork frieze and reeded side columns, long shaped-top trunk door with side quarter columns and Gothic blind fretwork frieze over, the canted shaped panelled base raised on ogee bracket feet.240.5cm highThe case has been re-polished in the past and is in good undamaged condition. The seatboard is original and sits nicely on the cheeks of the case, the dial is clean and original to movement, the movement is complete and looks to have been serviced in recent years, it does run and strike but we can't guarantee mechanical parts. The case with folding handle and corner finials above canted caryatid corners, raised on scrolled leaf cast feet.50cm high handle down. In need of restoration, we cannot open the back door to look at the movement. The spandrels are loose.

AN UNUSUAL EARLY 18TH CENTURY EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the pitch pine case with barley twist columns running down the hood, trunk and base, trunk door having a D-moulded edge and glass lenticle, the 12" square brass dial with gilt winged cherub head spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with square steel pillars striking the hours on a bell.222cm high

A REGENCY MAHOGANY STICK BAROMETER with architectural pediment above a glazed door enclosing a calibrated silvered dial with thermometer and sliding vernier; the slender case with boxwood inlay and turned cistern cover98.5cm highThe barometer is in very nice original condition. The murcury tube is undamaged and working, the case has a good colour and patina, there is a piece of moulding missing from the side of tghe top pediment, and there's a very small split to the top of the cistern cover. The dial has the original silvering which is rubbed in places.

RICHARD COLSTON, LONDON, A WILLIAM AND MARY MONTH GOING WALNUT AND MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK the caddy top hood with blind fretwork frieze above glazed panelled sides and tortoiseshell veneered applied pillars with brass capitals above a floral inlaid convex frieze and full-length floral marquetry door depicting flowering urns and birds enclosing a central brass framed lenticle above a matching panelled base. The 11" square brass dial with fine cherub head spandrels enclosing a Roman chapter ring with Arabic minute markings and matted centre dial with subsidiary seconds, date aperture and original finely cut steel hands fronting a month going movement with five finned baluster pillars, anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on a bell - with original brass cased weights and pendulum.218cm high excluding finialThe clock is in very original unrestored condition. The side of the base panel is detached and split in two, the bun feet are missing, and there are chips and losses to the veneers and mouldings. Extra images of all damage have been uploaded. The movement is original to dial and is complete with all original wheel work, is working but will need a service, has original weights and pendulum. The seat board has been replaced but in our opinion, the movement is original to the case.

The 12 1/4" silvered brass observatory dial having outer minutes and subsidiary seconds and hour dials fronting a massive eight-day weight driven movement with four oversized double screwed pillars, high count pinions with 6 spoke wheel work, deadbeat escapement with large double framed jewelled pallet escapement, Harrisons maintaining power and jewelled end stops throughout, original compensated mercury pendulum.191.5cm highThe movement, dial, case, weight and pendulum are all original to each other, the case has been repolished and has a good colour and figuring, minor shrinkage splits in the veneer to the top sides and there are two small holes in the side probably for an electrical contact, some minor dents to the front moulding on the base. The dial is in very good undamaged condition, the movement is also in excellent working condition and has recently been serviced. Comes with winding key and door key.
