The SR clock records show this clock as last in use at Brighton Station time office and was previously used at Selhurst and Redhill Motormen's Control Room. The case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass lock and is stamped in the back box 7509SW. The SR clock records show this clock as last in use at Wimbledon Enquiry office. Supplied to the LCDR circa 1870. The original dial displays BR(S) JOHN WALKER 1 SOUTH MOLTON ST LONDON 1260 SE. The case has one side door with a brass numberplate 1260 screwed to the inside and a bottom door secured with the lock removed and replaced with a typical Southern railway brass turn and is stamped in the back box 1260 SE . The SR clock records show this clock as last in use at Folkestone Junction Loco Running Dept and previously at Dover Priory and Wandsworth Booking Hall. Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk fusee railway clock with a chain driven English fusee movement with shaped shoulders and turned pillars, segmented wooden surround, two side access doors and a bottom door with the lock removed and replaced with a brass turn. The GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 1285 is screwed to the left hand side of the case. The dial has been lightly restored and show GWR in the block style. An early Victorian mahogany wardrobe, circa 1850, of breakfront outline, the moulded cornice above a pair of panelled doors enclosing a fitted interior with arrangement of drawers, flanked by a further pair of panelled doors, and each above three frieze drawers and plinth base, 223cm high, 235cm wide, 56cm deep Condition Report: Overall- areas are very dry- and some look to have become damp in the past- sides very dry- may require polish before installing in domestic setting. Main two doors with slight warp. Panels have also moved in frames- one with light now visible to gap from interior. With key- but lock plates look to have later wooden fillets covering them suggesting they may have been replaced. Lower drawers without locks- but with fairly crude later holes for rods from above (not present) Additional fillets to the outward edges of each central door- suggesting something may have been changed Condition Report Disclaimer
