λ A RARE CHINESE IMPERIAL LANDSCAPE DIORAMA QIANLONG 1736-95 In stained ivory, paper and glass, depicting figures in a river landscape with two ladies peeping through the door of a pavilion. The foreground with a small group of figures on two sampans and a trio of musicians by a pavilion under the shade of weeping willows serenading two scholars beside a tall rock. The frame glazed with a sheet of glass painted on the inside with clouds and a skein of geese, 58cm x 45.8cm. Provenance: an English private collection, Surrey. Cf.
