When BMC management saw the result, they were so impressed, they made their own versionThe interior was fitted with a full-width Walnut-veneered facia with recessed instruments, Walnut door cappings and picnic tables fitted to the rear of each front seat. West of England cloth was used for the roof lining, best Wilton carpet covered the floor and Connolly leather was used for all seat wearing surfaces. Each front seat was fitted with an individual folding armrest and a central armrest was fitted to the rear bench. Reading lights were fitted to each rear quarter panel. A mid 19c Black Forest mantel clock in rectangular case with flat cushion top and ogive base. The 15cm diam metal dial sits within a rectangular frame with line and star inlay around it and has a glazed rectangular front door. The wooden framed barrelled spring movement has countwheel striking on the hours on a gong. The clock stands 42cm tall.

A late 19c German bracket clock by Lenzkirch in burr maple bell top case. The 12.5cm arched dial is signed for the retailer Botley & Lweis, Reading and has a silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels. The glazed front door is flanked by canted columns and the sides have timber sound frets. The top has a carrying handle and brass corner finials and the bracket feet are of brass. The two train barrelled spring movement tingtang strikes on two gongs. 40.5cm tall overall.

An English Edwardian miniature longcase clock in high quality mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and central urn finial. There is an area of carved decoration above the arched dial and freestanding fluted columns flank the 19cm brass arched dial which has Turks head spandrels and a strike/silent dial in the arch. The long trunk door has a wavy top and is flanked by fluted quarter columns. The base has canted corners and an applied front panel with indented corners and has bracket feet. The substantial weight driven movement has anchor escapement and is rack striking on a gong and the weights are brass bound. The clock stands 155cm tall.

The desk has triple panelled sides to the pedestals and is supported on a moulded plinth with castors, 137cm w, 107cm d, 78cm h.
