*Item to be collected from Friargate, Derby* Woolley of Codnor, Derbyshire (probably John, the son of James), an 18th century oak cased longcase clock, acorn and scroll pediment, moulded cornice and inset pillared hood, a 33.5cm brass dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary date aperture, inscribed 'Woolley Codnor', chased foliate detail, above a rectangular case with moulded pillars, arched rectangular door with brass escutcheon, above a stepped base with shaped foot, approx 202cm high The Woolley family worked in Codnor Derbyshire throughout the 1700 James (1695 to 1786) was later joined by his son John Woolley.Condition report - wear and tear commensurate with age - good original condition, all looks to be original and belonging. Late 19th century figured walnut credenza, the bow front cabinet with large door to the centre, flanked with a glazed door enclosing shelved interior, with cylindrical column support and gilt metal beading, 108cm high x 166cm wide x 43cm deep.Condition:The glass doors could have been replaced at some point. the beading has snapped to right side of right door, needing affixed. Gaps from lower area on right glass door to lower part of the door surround. Velour to interior is faded with age and worn. Doors open freely escutcheons slightly loose. Losses and scuffs to spindle feet. Allover staining, minor marks and colour fading to cabinet.
Edwardian mahogany and ebony strung bowfront sideboard, with two drawers to the centre, flanked with cupboard door enclosing shelved interior, on tapered legs with spade feet, 91cm high, 121cm wide and 60cm deep.Condition:Minor areas of ebony inlay lacking to top. Predominant areas of ebony inlay lacking to frieze. Key is drawer. Escutcheon lacking to right door. Doors and drawers open freely. Area of wood lacking to lower apron. Gouges / marks to doors, staining to interior. All over fading to inlay, marks and stains to sideboard.
