Ingram, Abergavenny with 30 hour movement, long arch topped door case, on lower moulding over box base. 17 1/2'' wide x 74 1/2'' high x 10 1/2'' deep
India, 19th-early 2oth century AD. Cast bronze door handle in the form of an elephant's head grasping a ring in its trunk; on the top of the head is a decorative cover and on the forehead is a Trishul, or trident; below this is the sacred syllable Om. 1.1 kg, 19cm (7 1/2"). Acquired on the London art market in the late 1980s. The inclusion of the Trishul and Om symbols indicate that this is the head of the god Ganesha, who is a guardian of doorways, amongst many other functions. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
An early 19c mahogany credenza of small proportion with breakfront, having a shelved interior over one frieze drawer, the interior enclosed by a single door with grilled and pleated material panels flanked by by wrythen twist open columns, with bold brass paw feet and having rear bun turned tapering legs, 36"w, 36"h.
A late 19c French mantle clock in waisted red boullework case with gilt brass feet and mounts, surmounted by a putto holding a blazing brand aloft. The glazed brass front door has the figure of a cherub on its lower edge and the embossed gilded brass dial is inset with blue enamel hour and five minute plaques. The movement is rack striking on a bell and has a sunburst pendulum, the clock stands 19" tall.
A late 19c German two weight Vienna regulator by Gustav Becker, the large and ornate walnut case having a double cresting with a broken pediment mounted above a semi circular pediment with turned finials at each side. The glazed trunk door is flanked by turned baluster columns which stop three quarters of the way up the door to allow two carved horses to stand beneath semi circular covers. The gadrooned base has a central half finial and side finials and the two train movement has a deadbeat escapement and strikes on a gong. The 8" two piece dial is of cream enamel with Roman numerals and the clock measures 54" tall overall.
A mid 18c thirty hour longcase clock, the 12" square brass dial signed Richard Midgeley (probably Halifax). The dial has floral spandrels to the corners, a date ring, dummy winding holes and a Halifax penny moon above the centre with a separate aperture indicating the day of the moon. The chapter ring has Roman numerals and outer Arabic five minute numbers. The hands are unmatched steel, the movement is chain driven with countwheel striking on a bell. It is contained in a tall oak case which has been heavily re-carved at a later date. The hood has a flat top with broad outstanding top moulding and turned columns flanking the dial, the trunk has a long rectangular trunk door. The base has an inset rectangular panel and a wavy plinth, from the top moulding to plinth the whole is profusely covered in Victorian carving, 87" tall overall.
A late 18c eight day longcase clock, the 12" arched silvered dial signed William Marsh, London and having strike/silent (mechanism removed) and seconds dials (the date aperture has been filled). The five pillar movement has rack strike and anchor escapement and brass bound weights and brass pendulum rod. It is contained in a black lacquered case with full arched hood and plain columns flanking the dial. The trunk door is divided into two transfer printed scenes, the top one of a shepherdess and her flock and the lower showing a domestic scene of a couple, these are divided by gold lacquered floral and geometric panels. The door has a raised edge London type moulding and the base has another transfer panel showing a bird and floral display, the clock has a plain plinth and stands 85.5" tall.

A late 19th Century walnut ting-tang quarter striking on two gongs mantel clock by Lenzkirch (numbered 3035). The canted corners of the case have caryatids applied to them and the full width opening front door has an inner silvered bezel surrounding the brass arched dial which has a single large spandrel in the arch and further spandrels in the bottom corners. The silvered chapter ring has Roman numerals and half hour marks.
An oak and mahogany cross-banded long case clock, the painted dial with moon phase and date dial, inscribed 'Sagar Blackburn' on an eight day, striking movement, hood with broken swan pediment, square glazed door on a trunk with quarter columns, panelled base and bracket feet. Overall height, 220cm. CONDITION REPORT: No warranty given to working condition of movement, dial has probably been re-painted and has later touching up, trunk and hood in good condition for age with some knocks and wear in places.
A George lll oak long case clock, the brass 12 inch dial with silvered chapter ring, subsidiary second dial and date aperture, inscribed W Yeadon, Stourbridge, on a thirty hour striking movement, the case with plain hood with blind fret work, square glazed door on a trunk with rectangular door cross banded and inlaid base and plinth foot. Overall height 200 cm approximately. CONDITION REPORT: No warranty is offered as to the working condition of the movement, case has repairs, alterations, wear and paint marks.
A Vienna Style wall clock, the gallery applied with mask decoration flanked by turned finials, arching glazed door enclosing ivory and brass dial, case with half columns and turned terminal. Overall height 135 cm. CONDITION REPORT: No warranty offered as to working condition of movement. Case some repairs, slight losses and surface wear.
