An early 19th century 8-day bell striking longcase clock, indistinctly signed to the dial by a Chepstow maker, the painted dial unusually having a pale pink background with white centre, mahogany case with inlaid decoration, barley-twist hood columns, frilled surround to the hood door, quarter reeded columns to the trunk with brass Corinthian capitals, raised on bracket feet. With weights and pendulum. Est £300 - £500
A late 18th century longcase clock, eight day bell strike movement, painted arched dial with moonphase indication and matching blued steel hands, signed to the dial G.Wood, Bath, a maker listed as working 1787 to 1800, flame mahogany case with full length door, overall height 218 cm, Dial (43 cm height to top of arch x 30.5 cm width) is in reasonable condition with no significant loss to the paint, including the moon disk. Matched brass hands, calendar and seconds pointers. The movement appears correct to the dial with no evidence of replacement. Falseplate has a cast dial makers name that cannot be clearly seen without removing. Both trains operate when pressure is applied, though a service must be considered. The case is of mahogany with only minor issues of dry glue/ some splitting of joints. The door has a slight warp so doesn't fully close. The glass to the hood is undamaged (no cracks). - Est £400 - £600
An oak cased 18th century longcase clock, signed Richard Deaves of Whitchurch to the square brass dial, a maker listed as born 1702 and died 1780, the dial has silvered centre with engraved decoration, date and seconds indication, applied silvered chapter ring and applied, cast spandrels to the corners, matched blued-steel hands, the later oak case has flat top, wavy door, quarter reeded columns to the trunk and separate reeded hood columns, with weights, pendulum and key, overall height is 200 cm or 78.5 inches - Est £400 - £600
A box of various stereoscope slides, a box of printing blocks, moulding plane stamped "Mathieson & Sons", a boxed "Brick Player Kit 3" building kit, a Touring Scotland game board, a box of various door furniture, etc. CONDITION REPORTS A couple are broken and some need re-edging, otherwise have general wear etc conducive with age and use. Nearly all are architectural shots, both interior and exterior. Mainly of churches and castles. Box holding them is scuffed, warn etc conducive with age and use. Printing blocks are all in a used state with worn varnish, ink stains etc conducive with age and use. Interior of box is also ink stained. Exterior is scuffed etc. Moulding plane has general wear. The brick player kit three box is broken. Unknown if complete. Has general wear conducive with age and use. Door furniture is all in a used condition.
