A late 19th century American mahogany cased rectangular wall clock, with painted metal dial set with Roman numerals and with part glazed door, bearing paper label "Patent Brass Clocks Ansonia...", length 66cm.

Lot 2010

A 19th century oak and mahogany inlaid longcase clock, with associated thirty hour movement, the circular dial set with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds beneath a hand painted seated woman in landscape, flanked by two turned columns supporting a broken swan neck pediment surmounted by a brass orb with seated eagle above a single inlaid door and pedestal base on bracket feet, height 239cm. CONDITION REPORT: The dial has several areas of cracks and losses to the enamel. Also the numerals and particularly the subsidiary dial are rubbed and subsidiary hands are missing.

A Regency mahogany and brass detailed bracket clock, the swing loop handle above arched silvered dial set with Roman numerals and engraved with scrolls housing an eight day twin fusee movement with back plate signed "James Murray, Royal Exchange" and raised on four turned brass feet, height 44.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Sold with pendulum, keys for back and front door and winding key. There is a fine crack to the raised domed mahogany section beneath the brass carrying handle, the dial appears to be restored as it is in such good order. General surface wear to the case. The clock has come from a collection where the gentleman has had them running up until recently.
