Tomlinson, London, in an ebonised architectural-style case with inverted bell-top carrying handle and four turned brass finials, on four decorative brass scroll feet, 47cm overall height CONDITION REPORT Movement believed to be original but has been restored and is in running order. Some wear to gilding and silvering on dial, particularly around name plate. Case believed to be original but with some restoration. Door lock and hinges replaced and some mounts possible replacements

Eighteenth century thirty hour longcase clock by Sam Vale, Coventry, the square brass dial with cast brass spandrels, circular chapter ring, engraved decoration and date aperture, in oak case, 198cm high CONDITION REPORT General overall condition quite good, although movement is dirty and chain may be a replacement. We are unable to say if the movement is in full working order. Dial engraving is crisp but overall is tarnished and dirty. Case generally good. Minor splits to plinth. Hood may have been re-worked or repaired. Rear columns are damaged. Door glass now held in with two beading strips
