19th Century and later Longcase Clock, with painted square dial, 30cms, (12"), inscribed, "R. Baker, Tamworth", with secondary date dial, the spandrels painted with gilt scrolls, thirty-hour movement, striking on a bell, contained within an oak case, the hood with moulded corners and tapered brass mounted columns, the arched door with star inlay, brass escutcheons flanked by quarter column pilasters and on a plain base with canted corners, 190cms, (6'3").

GWR & Rhymney Railway 12" Oak Cased Fusee Dial Clock. Original, early fusee movement and oak case with 2 side doors, bottom door and segmented surround. The original dial shows GWR in block lettering and ghosted GW & RR Cos, Spiridion, Cardiff and the number 106. Complete with original ivorine plate number 949. An exceptional survivor and the only one ever to come to market, indeed, even known to exist. The Vendor states that it came from his grandfather who lived at Merthyr, which was the northern terminus of the joint line from Quakers Yard.

Great Western Railway C/I Signalbox Door Notice: "No Unauthorized Person Allowed In This Box. By Order". Unrestored, obviously used on a box that survived into BR days because it retains the then corporate blue paint. A lovely sign making a refreshing change to all those dreadful reproductions appearing on the internet.
