Rubbing to the gilding, as to be expected. One front foot bent. The dial - light rub bing as to be expected. The movement - later frost glass cover to door, looks to be ok, but a qualified clock specialist needs examine it and there is no guarantee of it’s working order. One mount missing from the side. The turning mechanism is not fully operational. One side door does not open fully. Later silk lining to the interior of the revolving sides, which is loose in some areas. Glass scent bottles are not examined closely. Tain: silver rare quaich of typical style, the grips inscribed 'squab as i' ('sweep it up') and 'deoch an dorris' ('a drink at the door'), the collet foot inscribed 'S. Murray', by Alexander Stewart, c. 1800, 7cm diameter, 11.9cm over handles, 3.2cm high, 67g or 2.1oz.CONDITION REPORT: Has been used but not abused. Nice colour. Good marks. No real issues.
Early 20th century Post Office wall clock with a fusee movement, the circular dial with Roman numerals, with pendulum, 43cm.CONDITION REPORT: The dial is painted. The dial measures approximately 11½ in diameter. There are minor stains and marks to the dial and glass cover. There are age-related stains and marks to the gilt metal mount. The movement door opens and closes freely. There is a small piece of wood lacking to the clock case. There is minor age-related staining and marks to the case also.
