A 19th Century mahogany linen press cupboard, the domed cornice over two plain doors enclosing five linen shelves on a base of two short over three long drawers to bracket feet, 113 cm wide x 54.5 cm deep x 207 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has had repairs throughout to include to the moulding, veneer, etc. Front right hand door panel is split. Surface scratches throughout and some heavier and older. There is a mark as if it has rubbed against something on the left hand side panel. Lock not working. Later hanging rail has been put in. A couple of the shelves in the top section have split backs and gaps to the joins throughout. Replacement handles. The drawer liners are gapping in various places. There is a large chunk missing from the left hand leg and the left front leg has been off and re-glued. The bottom tray / shelf is a bit sticky and does not sit entirely straight. Wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further detail.

A circa 1900 bookcase cabinet, the plain top with adjustable shelves above a base of single drawer and two cupboard doors with carved foliate decoration, 74 cm wide x 35 cm deep x 209 cm high, together with a circa 1930 oak bureau, the fall front opening to reveal a fitted interior over two banks of three drawers, 41 cm wide, a small footstool, 31 cm wide x 27 cm deep x 18 cm high and a wall mounted plate rack / drainer CONDITION REPORTS Does not appear to have originally had doors on the top section - no holes or markings, etc. and the shelves are too close. Some small areas of veneer missing. Lock mechanism is missing to the cupboard door. Some small losses to the carved panels. Plinth base appears to be a replacement or at least stained darker. There is a larger section of veneer coming off and a large chunk missing from one side of the bookcase lower down. Door handle is missing from the door and is currently held with a piece of string. The locking mechanism to the lock plate / hole on the drawer is sat underneath the moulding. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use. In need of a clean. FRENCH LITERATURE; Rousseau, Volumes 1 to 37 of 'Oeuvres Complettes de J J Rousseau', Volumes 1 and 2 'Politiques', Volumes 3 to 6 'Heloise', Volumes 7 to 10 'Emile', Volumes 11 to 17 'Melanges', Volumes 18 to 19 'Theatre', Volumes 20 to 22 'Dictionnaires de Musique', Volumes 23 to 28 'Mémoires', Volumes 29 and 30 'Pieces Diverses', Volumes 31 to 37 'Lettres', published Paris 1795, all contained in a stained wooden bookcase with single door. CONDITION REPORT: There is age-related wear throughout all of the books. Some of the leather covering the card is worn and various pieces are missing. There don't appear to be any missing pages. There is some damage to some of the spines, however the titles are clearly visible, except for one. General wear throughout.

WILLIAM LAWRENCE, CARK; a George III oak thirty-hour longcase clock with associated dial and movement, the 12" square painted dial inscribed 'Wm. Lawrence, Cark' and set with Arabic numerals and rolling date aperture above cross banded arched door, to stepped base and bracket feet, height 210cm.
WATKIN OWEN, LLANRWST; an early 19th century oak longcase clock, the hood with broken swan neck and brass ball and eagle pediment above a gilded and silvered dial set with Arabic and Roman numerals, date aperture, inscribed Watkin Owen, Llanwrst, all above single panel door to block supports,height 220cm.
A Victorian mahogany writing table, with superstructure and green leather writing surface, the base of shaped outline fitted with three frieze drawers and raised on cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. Height 135 cm, width 130 cm, depth 70 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The writing table is structurally sound. The top left-hand finial is detached but we have the finial. The fretwork doors are not warped and close as they should. The lock is present but we have no key. The doors are not locked. All fretwork to the doors is present but there are some stress fractures. The right-hand door right-hand moulding has a minor stress fracture. The top right-hand fretwork pediment has three broken and detached sections but we have the pieces. The second shelf rear pediment is loose and one arched top is missing. At the foot of each end lower shelf support there will originally have been a thin 16 cm upright which is missing on both sides. You should be able to see the aperture into which this is fitted. The leather writing surface is scuffed and marked. The top of the desk is in generally good order with only minor old blemishes and ring marks and minor veneer losses. All drawers run smoothly and all locks are present but we have no keys. The drawers are not locked. The legs are all in good order with no evidence of any repairs or restoration. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
An early 19th century oak longcase clock by Blaylock Longtown, with 30 hour movement, with long trunk door and raised on a plinth base. Height 209 cm. CONDITION REPORT: We have the weight and pendulum. We have not had the movement running as the movement does not sit correctly on the clock cheeks. The seatboard is a later replacement and does not fit correctly. The clock and case may well be a marriage. The case itself is in generally good order with no serious issues. The doors are not warped and there are no serious areas of damage. The base plank join is visible due to shrinkage. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
A Victorian walnut single weight Vienna style regulator wall clock. Height 100 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The pediment is loose. The moulded cornice is a little scuffed and marked in places. The door is not warped. The veneer is a little dry in places but there are no losses. The columns and applied carvings are very dirty but in good condition and all present. There are no cracks to the glass. We have the key, pendulum and weight. We have not had the movement working, however, it does wind. The face is a little discoloured. There is a hairline crack between numerals 11 & 12 and losses to the enamel around the second hand which is actually a later piece of wood. There are nibbles around the winding aperture. The bezel surrounding the dial is tarnished and discoloured. The door is pinned into place and requires re-pinning as it is very loose and easily detaches. The bottom turned drop finial is missing.
A fine late 19th century amboyna and other specimen wood Bonheur du Jour, with brass gallery to the superstructure, also fitted with a mirrored central aperture flanked on either side by a panelled cupboard door with Sevres style porcelain plaques, the frieze drawer fitted for writing and with further drawer to either side with open shelves beneath, the whole being ormolu mounted and containing 32 Sevres style porcelain panels. Height 130 cm, width 94 cm, depth 40 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: It is difficult to find any real faults with the Bonheur du Jour. It is in extremely good order and seems to be an original. Being hypercritical there are some very minor blemishes to the veneers around the top moulding. All metalwork is original and present. All porcelain plaques are original and present. Both cupboard door lock escutcheons are missing. All five locks are present and operate. We have one key. The centre drawer is a little stiff and should perhaps come out slightly further than it does. The tooled leather is in first class condition. The two shelves have very minor surface blemishes but no real issues. There is a board which fits the aperture beneath the top series of drawers, this is currently detached and requires repining into place. There is some very slight movement at the leg joints. We can see one repair to the crossbanded rosewood veneer to the right-hand side of the lower shelf. There are very minor veneer nibbles around the bottom edge of the piece. The backboards are original.
A Georgian mahogany musical longcase clock by Ferguson of Dundee, playing six tunes on nine bells, the three train movement also striking, the case with well figured trunk door flanked by canted angles and with conforming base. Height 220 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The hand to select the tunes is missing. The tunes are - Masons Song, Balance a Straw, God Save The King, A Cotillion, Lovely Nancy and Corn Rigs. We have the weights and pendulum. The movement winds on all three trains. We have had the mechanism ticking but not striking or playing the tunes. The case is in reasonably good condition with no major issues. The hood is in good order all round with only minor stress fractures to the mahogany in places. The door is not warped. The long trunk door is well figured. It is very slightly warped when closed at the top left-hand corner. The lock plate is present as is the rear of the lock (which is detached). We have no key. There is a small piece of moulding to the left of the lock escutcheon which is detached. We have the piece. The sides of the trunk are in generally good condition. The base has stress fractures to the veneers on the front panel. The bracket feet are all present and in good order. The backboard has some minor traces of what appears to be old long gone woodworm. The seat board to the movement is not original and it is possible that the cheeks on which it rests have been cut down. With the door open it is possible to read the tune plate and the mask around the dial does fit fairly well. It is when the door is closed that the tune plate is not fully visible. A George III mahogany longcase clock by Samuel Jordan Chatham, eight day with striking movement, dial width 11 1/4", case height 198 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The case is in extremely good order with no issues. It looks to have been fairly recently clean and polished. All brasswork is present and original. The trunk door is not warped. There is a key and non-original lock. There is no evidence of any woodworm. The movement winds on both trains and seems to be ticking away and striking when advanced. The seatboard sits between the cheeks rather than on top so the case and movement may possibly be a marriage. The dial does however fit the mask correctly with no significant gaps. We have the winding key, both weights and pendulum.
A Victorian mahogany bedside cabinet, with single door with wooden knob handle with shelf to interior and raised on a plinth base. Height 78 cm, width 39 cm, depth 39 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bedside cabinet is structurally sound and in generally good order. The top has been repolished. For some reason there are two dowelled repairs which are a slightly different colour. The door is not warped and in very good order as are the sides. There are no splits. The rear panel is original. The plinth base is in good condition all round and there is no evidence of any woodworm.
A Victorian inlaid walnut bedside cabinet, with arched panelled door and plinth base. Height 79 cm, width 38 cm, depth 38 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cabinet is structurally sound and in generally good order. There are some minor marks to the top surface and very small veneer nibbles but no real issues. The door is not warped and closes as it should. The left-hand side is free from splits. The right-hand side has two splits but no movement. The plinth base is in good condition all round and the backboards are original.
A late Georgian mahogany longcase clock, with fretwork pediment arched painted dial and two train striking movement with long trunk door flanked by quarter round columns. Height including finial 230 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Whilst we have not had the movement running as we do not have a pendulum, when weight is applied to the going train it does operate. When the hands are manually advanced the strike mechanism also operates when weight is applied. The movement is however very dirty. The bell is currently detached. The face condition should be visible from our images. We have all three metal finials. The left one is detached. The fretwork has some fractures but is all present. The hood is in generally good order and the glass original and not cracked. The door is not warped. The trunk door is also not warped and closes as it should. We have the key and lock. The sides of the case are in generally good condition. The base has some veneer losses to the extremities and around the legs and the bottom base narrow applied moulding is missing in places.
An Art Nouveau brass strung and inlaid mantle clock, the face marked Elkington & Co Cheapside, with single train movement. Height 26 cm, width 15.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds and appears to be ticking away. It has been running for at least 45 minutes. The dial has a hairline crack below the numeral 6 and another one across numeral 5. The case has minor nicks and blemishes to the extremities and a small loss to the front left foot. It is generally a little dirty. The brass stringing is lifting at the right-hand side and has lost some of its original lacquered finish. The sides of the case are generally dirty. The rear door is original and present.
A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock, by James Monkhouse of Carlisle, with 30 hour movement and moonphase, the case with long trunk door flanked by quarter column corners and raised on bracket feet. Height 218 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The 30 hour movement is complete with weight and pendulum. It appears to be ticking away and striking when advanced. The hood door glass is broken. The door is however not warped. There has been a repair to the left-hand swans neck. There are minor nibbles to the extremities of the hood and shrinkage to some joints. The main trunk door is not significantly warped and closes as it should. The sides of the trunk are in good condition. The base is all original. Again there is a stress fracture down the centre join. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
A George III oak and inlaid longcase clock by Henry Wade London, with two train striking movement, the case with long arched trunk door flanked by fluted quarter column corners with brass capitals and all raised on bracket feet. Height including finial 224 cm, width across hood base 45 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The clock winds on both trains and is currently ticking away and striking in the saleroom. The movement and dial have clearly been fairly recently restored and are in extremely good order. The case is in extremely good condition also with no issues of any note.
A burr walnut and inlaid low breakfront cabinet, with doors and drawers and raised on a plinth. Height 61.5 cm, width 122 cm, depth 51.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This is a modern but good quality piece of furniture. It is in generally extremely good condition with no issues of any note. The top is in generally very good order and is well figured with only minor surface marks and scratches. There are no issues with the sides of the piece or the drawer or cupboard fronts. The door lock is present and we have the key. The plinth is in generally very good condition all round with only minor blemishes as one would probably expect.
