LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY MANTEL CLOCK,with two train eight day movement striking on a bell, the white enamel dial set with Roman numerals, with gilt metal four glass case, 25.5cm highCondition good to fair. Winds and ticks at time of testing. Tarnish throughout and would benefit from clean. Small inner chip to inner rear left of back pane of glass. Back door jammed and handle no longer present. Front door functions fine, wear around door area. Two small hairline circles to chapter ring as well as another to inner circle, and wear and discolour as per age. Additional images now available.
Late Victorian antique wooden doll's house, British, circa 1891, on two floors, later painted red brick exterior, grey pitched roof, three chimneys, front door and four windows, later extension to each side, front opens in four sections to reveal six rooms, gable with painted date 1891, one extension with painted date 1938, 29"/74cm x 56 1/4"/143cm x 12"/30cm. Fair Plus to Good. NB: The house was originally made for the Smithers family of Knockholt in 1891 and had remained in the family until the vendor purchased at Sotheby's in 2000. The later extensions being added by Mr Head, the estate carpenter during the 1930s.
