The styling is also the embodiment of Mercedes from the 1980s and 1990s, and it harks back to an era of understated style with its smooth lines, squared grille and three-pointed star bonnet ornament. The cabriolet, also known as the A124, was first launched in 1991 as the 320CE and 300CE, however these were later re-designated as the E320 in 1993. This later 1996 example is a one owner car from new and was initially leased via a leasing company in June 1996. It was originally specified to a high standard and includes the factory Sportsline package, heated leather seats and wind deflector. The car has been very well looked after throughout its lifetime, and the bodywork, paintwork and interior are all in very good condition. An overall refurbishment was also undertaken in 2006, which included fitting two new front wings and a new roof. Recent work includes a new wiring loom which was fitted in September 2020 (invoice available). The central locking however is currently not working and will require some attention. There is a good history file included with the car with regular servicing at Mercedes specialists, and the 3.2-litre straight-six engine is proof of this and is running and driving very well. The original handbook and Mercedes owner's manual are also included with the first aid package, tools and warning triangle. It was essentially an upgraded version of the TB, and shared the same 1,250cc engine but with a higher compression ratio of 7:4:1, allowing for greater horsepower. The TC was also 4 inches wider than its predecessor, but also slightly faster with its improved engine and 4-speed gearbox. Upon its introduction it was also available in three colours: Black, Regency Red or Shires Green. This Regency Red 1949 example is in very good restored condition having previously been part restored in the 1980s, and then completed by Exclusive Classic Cars Ltd in 2018. The bodywork, paintwork and interior are in excellent condition, and there is a good history file that includes the documentation and bills for the restoration. The vendor purchased the car in 2018 and reports it's currently running and driving well, however the half shafts may benefit from replacement. Produced between 1970 and 1977, the Stag presented a more muscular look compared with the Triumphs of the 1960s, and also featured a powertrain to match – the 3.0 litre Triumph V8. This 1973 car has been in its current ownership since 2013, and has been regularly serviced and MoT'd throughout its ownership. The car runs and drives very well and has been used on a regular basis, but not excessively. It was also powered by an enormous 8.2-litre V8 engine, which at the time was the largest engine in the world to power a passenger car. Homologated in 1961 with a 997 Ford pre-crossflow engine, GSM Darts were raced throughout the 1960s in numerous international events in the UK and South Africa. This included class and outright wins in the 9 hour endurance at Kylami and holding the Brands Hatch short circuit class record for a number of years.This 1964 Dart is one of the later South African built cars with the 1500cc pre-crossflow Cortina engine, front disc brakes and a removable hard top. Originally registered in South Africa in 1964, (as certified by the GSM Car Club of South Africa) it was subsequently modified and re-registered 1986. The car was imported to the UK and registered with MOT here in April 2001. The current owner acquired the car in June 2009 as a project for historic racing, and between 2009 and 2011 spent approximately £25,000 on restoring the car for race preparation. A new build 1500cc Ford pre-cross flow engine on twin 40DCO Weber Carburettors was installed, and a rolling road test showed 118bhp at the wheels (approx. 135bhp at flywheel). Complete with 2000E gear box and extensive chassis and suspension work, the car awaits completion by the next owner. The car was faster and lighter thanks to greater use of aluminium, but also more comfortable than ever before. The Turbo S in particular is the pinnacle of the 911 range, offering the best balance of comfort and performance before moving towards track orientated models such as the GT3 and GT3 RS. This example is a 991.2 model which was introduced in 2016. It featured updated styling, more interior tech (such as a radar guided lane-change assist), and a power increase from its 3.8-litre twin-turbo charged flat-six, now producing 572bhp in Turbo S form (an increase of 36bhp over the Turbo). This resulted in a staggering 0-62mph sprint time of just 2.9 seconds. This 1966 example is a 600 short wheelbase model that was a direct order from the factory by a Herr. Gerd Basten, a wealthy German industrialist. The car was completed on 6 December 1966, and has a stamped Mercedes-Benz factory data card that verifies this. Today, the car is in good condition and retains many original features, including its original Papyrus white paintwork, original dark blue leather interior, and its factory Bosch front spot lights. Recent work on the car includes a new water pump, a new battery, and the addition of 5 (spare) litres of hydraulic fluid. The air suspension is reported to be blocked up however. It is believed that the car was imported to the USA from Germany, and then later in the 1980s it was imported to Beirut where it has remained ever since. Now UK registered, the car is ready to be used and enjoyed by a new owner.
