AN IMPORTANT RELIC OF INDIAN INDEPENDANCE - A SMALL MAHOGANY FRAMED PLATE GLASS BEVELLED MIRROR with sliding panel to reverse, the inner inscribed 'Taken out of the bedroom door of the Rani of Jhansie's Palace, central India 1858 and brought home by Serg't Donald 9th Engineers', the glass plate 23cm x 18cm. Note: The Rani of Jhansi, known as Jhansi Ki Rani, Queen of the Maratha-ruled princely state of Jhansi and one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857, was a symbol of resistance to British rule in India.

GREAT WAR - A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF SMALL RELICS FROM THE CLOTH HALL AT YPRES and other buildings from the town, many pieces labelled, including 'From the Cloth Hall Door Ypres', 'Piece of Organ from the Chapel Ypres', 'From the roof of Ypres Cathedral', and 'Glass from the Cloth Hall Ypres'. Note: Capt. Frank Hurley (A.I.F.): 'This magnificent old building is now a remnant of torn walls and rubbish. The fine tower is a pitiable apology of a brick dump scarred and riddled with shell holes. The figures are headless and the wonderful columns and carved pillars lay like fallen giants across the mangled remnants of roofs and other superstructures ... it's too terrible for words'.

A Victorian Gothic Revival carved oak sideboard with green man masks, warriors, etc, the glazed central door to the top section enclosing shelves flanked by open tiers with open tier below, bevel edged mirror back over two drawers and two cupboard doors on a plinth base, 154.5 cm x 215 cm CONDITION REPORTS Some small chips, scratches and impressed marks all over, crack in wood above right-hand open recess, whatever the warriors were holding in their hands are missing, leaded glaze door rattles considerably when moved and is slightly pressed inwards, long deep impressed scratch to top along with various other marks, scratches, small chips etc., handle to lower door missing and replaced with screw, general signs of wear and tear.

An early 18th Century oak cased long case clock with later carved decoration, the door with study of sailor and pond yacht, raised on bracket feet, the eight day movement with square brass dial and pierced spandrels enclosing a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the chapter ring inscribed "Ben Johnson London Fecit", 225 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Mechanism has not been checked to see if in working order. Body - some small chips and scratches throughout, white splattered paint marks down side, old pine repair to back, general wear and tear. Backboard at top hinges ringer is bent, some signs of rust. Chapter ring tarnished, some small scratches.

An early 19th Century black lacquered and chinoiserie decorated portable chiffonier the three quarter galleried top above a full front compartment with silk panelled door over two silk panelled cupboard doors enclosing two pull out shelves, flanked by two brass carrying handles raised on turned and ringed feet, 62 cm x 102.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Some small chips and scratches to galleried top first level with some scratches, small chips mainly to edges and wear to paintwork, to fall there are some cracks in corners and small amount of wear to paintwork and small chips and losses to edges, interior : visible cracks in backboard, wear to the red upholstery, some holes which have been previously been re-stitched, yellow upholstery has some stitching coming loose, second tier has major chip to edge, wear to edge, scratches and, wear to paint, some wear to front doors mainly to edges, interior generally good with some signs of wear and tear, large chip/section missing to bottom left-hand corner and to bottom right, small chips all the way round edges, wear to feet, sides with small chips, scratches, impressed marks, etc., back with one very large visible split, fabric panelled doors with some wear, biro mark to right-hand door.

A late Regency mahogany secretaire bookcase, the moulded satinwood and rosewood strung cornice over two astragal glazed doors enclosing four shelves on a base with fitted secretaire drawer over two cupboard doors enclosing press type drawers, raised on bracket feet, 100 cm x 226.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear and scuffs. Various repairs and inserted sections. Quite a lot of splits throughout. Quite a lot of losses to mouldings. Brass banding down the central door appears to be later replacement and is in sections. There is no lock to the secretaire section and central door within the secretaire section is locked but there is no key. Generally with some scuffs and stains and some chips and splits. Interior of the top glazed section has some re-drilled holes. Please see photos for examples. There is no key to the lower door section either. Lower plinth section is approx 51 cm deeep.

A 19th Century French oak dressoir, the super structure with two galleried shelves over a single cabinet door flanked by rope twist side pilasters the whole with Gothic style carved tracery throughout raise on a plinth base, (Provenance: Originally came out of The George Hotel, Winchcombe) 95 cm wide x 217.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Dresser is in three sections. Top section : small chips to carving, some small scratches and small splits, to the back of the top section there is a large split. Middle section : some large splits mainly to the panelled back, some splits to the frame, large chip to top left corner, large crack to top right, moulding to bottom left corner missing, evidence of woodworm holes, old putty to top of the top panel, evidence of old repair. Bottom section : top with impressed marks, some splits, possible evidence of shrinkage to door, evidence of old repair to top right corner, large split to door panel, woodworm holes, and possible other holes, holes to bottom, chips to linen fold decoration on the side. Large hole to backboard. A lot of signs of wear and tear throughout in the form of chips, scratches, splits, impressed marks, etc.
