Smaller splits, chips, losses and repair to veneer throughout. Areas of loss, repair and replacement to moulding throughout. Both lower door hinges have been replaced, each with a piece of new timber to accommodate this. Joints solid and sturdy. General wear commensurate with age and use. Nice quality as indicated by the glazed sides and well-chosen timber. Two keys present, lower one appears associated. Locks functional.

Losses, surface marks and wear throughout. Splits. Lacking middle and bottom shelves to the top. Split to bottom left door. Replaced rear foot.

A mid 18th Century and later eight-day longcase clock, by Archibald Strachan, the 12in. brass dial with silvered chapter ring, roman numerals and arabic minutes, with subsidiary seconds dial and date dial to the arch, striking on a bell, contained within an associated ebonised oak case with broken swan neck pediment, shaped trunk door, boxed base, raised on a plinth base, 220cms high.
