A Japanese carved hardwood, gilt lacquer and bone display cabinet, late 19th century, carved throughout with meandering foliage, the upper section centred by two sliding doors, flanked on each side by a door decorated with fruiting foliage, above and arrangement of five open shelves and a door decorated with two men in traditional dress, above a long drawer, on square section feet, 209cm high, 130cm wide, 35.5cm deep (damages, losses). Provenance: Aynhoe Park, Oxfordshire.
A mahogany inverted break-front partners pedestal desk, stamped GILLOW, last quarter 19th century, the rectangular top with moulded edge above three drawers, stamped 'GILLOW' and 'L1342' and three opposing false drawers, each pedestal with three graduated drawers opposed by a door opening to a removable divided section, on plinth bases, 76cm high, the top 90cm x 153cm (lacking leather insert)
A George III mahogany longcase clock, the 8 day five pillar movement striking on a bell, to a 12in brass arched dial with a silvered chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial to a pierced aperture, the centre engraved and urn and bird inscribed George Cooper, London, the arch with a subsidiary strike silent dial, the pagoda hood with glazed panel and later urn finials to turned brass inset stop fluted columns, the arched trunk door flanked by conforming columns, the base on a plinth, 93.5in (237.5cm) h.

Roof is new corrugated iron, all cladding replaced with good second hand material. Wood window replaced with exact replica of original, Makers plate on door reads Joseph Ash & Sons. Manufacturer, Rea St South, Birmingham. Also original metal top wooden work bench for interior measuring 71" X 24"w X 36"h with 2 cupboards and 2 drawers, painted GWR brown. Buyer to dismantle (with current owners help), and transport from site, another assistant would be a good idea. Probably a 2 day job and be prepared for good old heavy Victorian engineering. (No leeway on this timescale whatsoever).

(1) In The Country Listen & Look Before You Cross The Road. (2) Never Play Near The Road. (3) Cars Go Faster Than You Think - Always Do Your Kerb Drill. (4) Cyclists- Concentrate & Anticipate. (5) Cyclists Overtaking Drill. (6) Wait Until There Is Room - Don't Step Into The Road. Most have some edge loss/repair but a fine selection that we all remember from our schooldays.
